Trustworthy and care about their customers
My second trip to Ron`s for alignment issues on 2002 Mustang. Questioning tire wear, they thoroughly checked the front end, suspension, and then rechecked the alignment. They were great. I work on my autos myself when I have the time. They offer to diagnose for DIY guys. Reasonable and give me a sense of being that I don`t have to be on my toes or the least bit apprehensive about the sort of work that I`m going ... view moreto get from them. Thanks Ron and crew. You`re truly on your own island. No sharks here!

I Don`t Believe It!
Unbelievable, I finally found an honest auto repair shop. Needed work on my Toyota Rav4. First took vehicle to Raleigh Hills Automotive, who told me I needed $1200 in repairs: front struts, rear shocks, front strut towers, front brake pads, front calipers, new rotors, and an alignment.
Took Rav4 over to Ron`s, who told me all the car needed were the struts, pads, rotor resurfacing, and alignment. Everything else... view more was perfectly fine. $400 later, the car repairs were complete, and all is fine.
They were friendly, and finished up the job when they said they would (3 hours). Plenty of cheap restaurants and pubs nearby, to pass the time while waiting.
Give them a chance, you won`t regret it. And beware Raleigh Hills Automotive at all costs!!

Great service and friendly staff
Robert at Ron`s was the person that helped me with my car. I recently had a really bad experience with another company and not only did Robert arrange the towing of my car, but worked on it the next day and got it back to me on the same day.
The other company took 6 days to work on my car and turned out they installed a faulty master cylinder, amongst other things.
I`m glad i finally found a diamond in the rou... view moregh. This literally was the 5th car shop i took to for my brakes, and it is FINALLY fixed, and i`m quite relieved and feel safer when i drive.
Thank you Robert!

Great service, that`s affordable and prompt!
Left my vehicle for a complete front end alignment and they found a couple of worn out parts and pointed them out to me while locating the affordable replacements. Good honest folks that know what they are doing.

Great Front End, Alignment and Brake shop in Southeast Portland
After getting a new set of tires we were told by the tech at JJ`s Tire that we needed an alignment. (By the way, JJ`s did a great job as well...) It was late in the day and we couldn`t get in to his first choice that was close by, so he suggested Ron`s. We were in north Portland and I talked to a friendly voice at Ron`s who explained they normally close at 5 and we wouldn`t be able to make it all the way to southe... view moreast Portland in time. I told him we were in a bind because we had a trip planned out of town the next day. He told me if I was there by 5 he`d work me in. Sure enough we got there right at 5 (which is usually when they leave I think...) and he got started. It`s not just that he stayed late to work us in. But the fact that he took his time and did an excellent job as if we were the first customers of the day that impressed me so much. It in fact was a tough job in that our car was WAY out of whack and it took him almost an hour, having to work out all four tires, etc. And instead of hurrying us out the door, he and his staff were friendly and made sure the work was correct by taking it back out on the road to test the job. All in all, it was everything you could ask for out of a mechanic.

A Rewarding Experience
A few years ago I was new to the area and wanted to get my brakes checked. Saw a couple of very positive reviews so I made an appointment. Very relaxed & friendly personnel. After 1/2 hour of work, I was told my brakes were okay, and that there was no charge. Incredible. I asked for a reference to get a transmission service. The business (up the street) had similarily been around for decades, and did excellent ... view morework at a reasonable price. We have three cars, and I take them to Ron, as his service offers integrity, a friendly atmosphere, and he & Robert have helped me to locate other quality automobile services. They have been in business at the same location for a long time, and seem to know ""what`s up"" with professional autocare. Thanks for the help over the years.
