Had Chevy allison unit built by mount hood trans. great communication, great workmanship and the best prices in Oregon. Very pleased with my relationship with these guys they know there transmission stuff. If you have a diesel or even a gas transmission don`t take it anywhere else. Go to mount hood.

Worst car care experience ever!
I brought my car in to have a sensor replaced in the transmission. I brought my car in a 8:30am and to my surprise they were not there even though they were suppose to open at 8am. KEEP reading. I waited around at the counter (they were suppose to give me a ride back to my house) while they called around for parts and dealt with a customer on the phone and the ""customer service"" agent (aka his wife) was extremely r... view moreude to a customer who just wanted to make sure they rolled his windows up. THEN chris the ""owner"" FARTED extremely loud and it stunk the whole place up. THEN while his wife was on the phone making all these phones calls while she kept yelling at my daughter to be quiet! anyway so around 3pm I called to see the update on a 2 hour job only to find out they were still working on it even though I was told it would be first in line and done today and then around 4:40 pm I called to see what the status was on my car, they said they couldn`t finish the job and I would have to wait til monday. I preceded to get mad and tell them that they promised me that my car would be done today and it was first in line so the wife says she isn`t gonna deal with me and hands me over to their employee which only made things worse then I got handed back over to her then to her husband who says"" that all auto shops are like he is and that I am getting this spectaular deal for whats being done"". THEN he has the nerve to tell me they can put the pan back on my transmission and I can pay for the transmission fluid change which I never wanted them to do in the first place! End result is that I have to wait til tomorrow until my car is finished. 12 hours to do a 2.8 hour job?! I forgot to mention that I was told it was 125 dollars to change the sensor then when I get in there its a 237 dollar job and he tried to tell me it could have cost 500 dollars? FOR a transmission fluid change and a sensor replacement? I THINK NOT! I hope this business fails! and no one else is placed in this kinda of situation.

The quality is great, the staff has never been anything but friendly to my husband and I. I am a little surprised by some of the comments that I am reading. They lead me to believe that maybe some of you (upset) customers are not being so sweet yourself. If you want honest work at a great price from an American business than this is the place to come. It may take them a little longer than your local Aamco but at leas... view moret with MHT they are real people behind the scenes giving you a real job for a real price. Anyways I could go on forever about how great they are. My suggestion is take your vehicle to them yourself and you will know what I am saying!

Beware! Warning! Go Away! You Have Been Warned!
These people have the worst customer service skills! Absolutely no consideration for their customers. How they are still in business, I don`t know. Their mission statement is a complete Lie just like everything else about this place. They`ve lied several times over and refused to answer phone calls. Their behavior is appalling. My husband and I had a very pleasant experience with Mount Hood Trans. They were informative, kind and the communicatoion was great. We got a good feeling from the minute we walked in the door from the young lady at the front to the techs behind the scenes. If you have ever done business with Mount Hood you will know that they do a great job, it may take them a little longer than other "big" shops but if yo... view moreu want quality and a great price than you have to give a little. We can personally touch on having an experience with a warrany. We called Mount Hood to have our transmission tested about a week after we picked it up it just seemed like mabye it was acting funny. They got us right in and ended up adjusting the bands. It took less than an hour and we were on our way. Come to find out sometimes you have to have your bands adjusted after a rebuild of some makes of transmissions. This was totally normal and again we had a pleasant experience. We will continue to use them for our automotive needs!
