A/C was fixed my car & feels like an freezer

Rod took care of my A/C for me & man it works great! & that Rich in the office is just the friendliest service writer I`ve ever met. They had me taken care of in the same day! these guys are great!

The BEST shop in town!

I used to be a mechanic before I lost my right arm in Iraq and I used to do all my own work of course, since then I`ve had to go to automotive shops, I`ve tired a few places out and most of them only had young (ages 20-30) inexperienced mechanics. I took my car to these guys a week ago or so and I talked to Rod the owner/service writer he`s got the best shop in Portland with 2 ASE Master tech`s both with over 35 year... view mores of experience each, most shops only have ASE certified kids. With the Master tech`s experience they find the problem quickly and efficiently and they do the labor more efficiently too. I would be sacred to take my family`s cars anywhere else.

They know air conditioners

It took my car to several shops and they couldn`t figure out what the problem was I was referred by a friend to go to Campbell Automotive and they they got it fixed and working as good as new. The estimate they gave was spot on and I would recommend them to anyone.

Beware padded labor costs!

This shop is under new ownership and the good reference we got (when it was under different ownership) seems to no longer be valid.

We have repeatedly encountered invoices for minor service with inordinately excessive labor. By the third time, we finally just cut our losses and took our automobile to another shop, which diagnosed the same problems in half an hour, versus the four hours Campbell Automotive cla... view moreims to have spent investigating some very standard problems.

The estimate we got from Campbell Automotive was about 75% higher than the second opinion we got at another, more trustworthy shop, for the same repairs. The higher estimate was explained in terms of extra labor required which was absolutely not required to repair the vehicle. We have confirmed this with three other mechanics now.

It`s not that this shop seems incompetent, just seemingly very greedy.

We will never go back there again.
