Holy Moly! An honest transmission repair shop! My Mercedes repair shop recommended Pete and Beaverton Transmission as I was having a problem with the car really "clunking" when either up or down shifting. It had started when the car back fired into the engine and needed a fuel regulator replaced. It also caused a vacuum line/hose to come "un-done". After diagnosing the problem, it was repaire... view mored for "almost nothing" (seriously!) Even then Pete apologized that he had to charge anything. Should anything else happen to any of the family car`s trannies, we KNOW where we are going! SO honest - could have been a real horror story if you`ve ever dealt with other tranny repair shops....many, many thanks!

Spent over $4000 in transmission and rear differential repairs. Once the transmission was fixed, noticed leaking, and immediately took it back in. They told me it was access transmission fluid left from the last time. Then told me I had a rear differential problem. This is where the nightmare really started. Communication was horrible. Pete did nothing but talk down to my wife and I. During the entire process it was ... view moreunapologetic. You would think as a paying customer, I wouldn`t have to call in daily for a status update of my vehicle. As another customer on here has stated that as soon as they "fixed" a problem another one appears which doesn`t seem to fall under warranty or they can`t confirm it was them and take responsibility for their fault.

I live at the coast and was looking for a transmission shop, only to find out that there wasn`t much to choose from. What I did find sounded scary on the phone and even worse when I drove buy.I called some auto parts places Napa, Schucks etc. and they all firmly recommended I call Pete at Beaverton All Transmission Service. The whole process from beginning to the end under the circumstances was pleasant. I felt I was treated very fairly. But most of all my car runs beautifully.

Didn`t charge me any anything. I pulled up, went in, told the guy what my car was doing, he came right out raised the hood and fiddled with something, shut the hood and said it was fixed. Without even driving it. And you Know what? He was right.

Excellent staff of personnel. Now I know why they have been in business for over 44 years. I don`t see how any shop could have done a better job than these guys. They explained everything in plain understanding language. Their approach to pricing was simple," why pay more than absolutely necessary". They were able to tailor the pricing down with a lesser warranty to match, without compromising mater... view moreials or workmanship. I highly recommend you consider these guys.

Wow, what professionals. My car never ran this good new.Competitive prices and a nationwide warranty.I was quoted prices with variations of over $1200. from nine different shops, until I did some background checking through the BBB, city search, etc. One family had there transmission done at some shop in Gresham three times before the shop finally closed its doors. Unable to afford to pay to have it redone, they sold ... view morethe car.

Highly recommended
They started working on my car right away, found the problem and repaired it quickly. Wonderful shop; friendly, honest people, convenient location - close to the transit center.

IN Defense of an honest shop with a good staff
Oh please, this forum leaves the buisness in question at a total disadvantage for ANY slanderous accusations. We do admit fault and we apologize and will do almost anything in our power to correct these things if they occur. Any reasonable person knows there are two sides to every situation. The Better Buisness Bureau does. They have been around for decades not months.Their Arbitration Program quickly resolves these di... view moresputes so that customers can trust buisnesses that display Better Buisness Bureau credentials. If I didn""t follow up and enter this, who knows how long any negative comments unchallanged could be listed here indiscrimintly.Think about it. We have been serving the metro area for over fourty years and pride ourselves in outstanding customer service. One of the general automotive repair shops in the area has been rated by AAA as #1 in the entire metro area including Gresham, Vancouver etc. and they refer all their transmission work to us. We have been on The Better Buisness Bureau Honor Roll (when that was their rating method). Now we have their current highest rank of A +. This forum doesn`t do the public service in every case.

Beware Before You Take Your Car Here!!!!
What ever you do, don?t take your vehicle here for service. I had dropped off my vehicle for a routine maintenance of having the transmission fluid and filter changed. About an hour after dropping it off, I received a call telling me thing weren?t looking good for my transmission. Metal shrapnel and other metal deposit were seen in the pan and that it was only a matter of time before my transmission would begin faili... view moreng. I was advised that a rebuild be performed before this happened. The transmission had been running fine for me; no hard or strained shifting, or any thing like that, so I met this advice with skepticism. I asked that the service be completed. I picked up my vehicle, and drove it to another transmission shop close by for a second opinion. They test drove the vehicle and told me the transmission was functioning properly. They inspected the work, and discovered a pan bolt busted off, no reading on the dip stick, and the external filter wasn?t replaced. I felt like my car had been sabotaged, and set up to fail so I had to bring it back in for a rebuild. I called Beaverton Transmission the next morning to complain about this. I do have to commend them for wanting to make this right with me by refunding my money, fixing the busted bolt, and redoing the service. However, at this point, I lost all confidence in this shop. I paid the other shop that discovered this shoddy work, to fix the problem they created, and redo the service.
