Reviews:
I would give my experience at Ganley 3 stars. It wasn`t a terrible experience, but there were a number of things that could have been better.
1.) My salesman seemed to assume that I was going to be buying the car if I liked it. He did very little to provide specific information about the mechanical and cosmetic appearance of the car. He was very attentive in pointing out all the excellent internal features of the ... view morecar (lumbar support, option to put the car into manual drive, auto-dimming rearview mirror, etc.) but neglected to explain some finer points about the tires, regular maintenance, and draw my attention to a relatively minor problem the car had.
2.) The salesman I worked with seemed as though it was unnecessary for me to take the used car I was interested in buying to be inspected by an independent mechanic. I am glad that I stuck to my guns and went anyway. Without the mechanic`s notes, I wouldn`t have been able to negotiate as well, and my car would have been in need of some new fluids and other smaller details. Now, since those things were taken care of, I can drive my car with no worries.
3.) The general manager Wayne was very nice, very accommodating, and very patient. I enjoyed dealing with him far more than with the sales man. If I had dealt with the salesman during the entire process, I probably would not have bought the car.
4.) The financial person I dealt with was outstanding. He got an excellent interest rate on my loan, for which I am very thankful. There were, however, some fees that I was ignorant of as a first-time car buyer, such as a rather steep documentation fee of $250.00 and a fee to take out a loan through the bank (around $200).
All-in-all, it seems that in order to buy a used car from this dealer, you really have to have done your research well and do all your own legwork. I was thankful I had done research on a number of other cars before the one I bought from Ganley as this better prepared me for the entire experience. I was also thankful I took someone with me, who, as an extra set of eyes and a few more sales of experience, helped me through the process. Not a bad place to buy a car, but wouldn`t be my first or second choice, and I probably wouldn`t go back again.
The car is great. I absolutely love it, and I am very glad I bought it. But as a person in recovery from multiple chronic illnesses, the experience was exhausting and overwhelming.

better luck at the rundown dealership on55th
As a result to a horrible experience at Ganley in Wickliffe I believe that the people deserve to hear, since there is so many reviews, the truth in reviewing. I am a real person, just like you, and have maybe thought about buying a car. I did an went to Ganley in Wickliffe. when I arrived at the dealership I walked around the used car that i was going to buy and was shortly approached by the salesman. the car looked ... view moregood from the outside. then I held faith and sat in it, now i don`t know about you but if i go to a dealership i`m expecting a clean car when im about to buy it, car was about 9 or 10 thousand. It was filthy inside, crumbs everywhere and even items from the previous owner. I looked passed it because i believed in that it was just maybe overlooked. as I put down 5 thousand, this dealership couldnt help me get a good deal to save there life, and after that five i had been told im going to still be having to pay off 8 thousand dollars.. now does this make any sence? shortly after the car kept stalling I went back up, they said that the intake that is on the car, the one that was on in when i bought it, is causing thins stalling... well you would think that it was an issue on there end since a week has gone by and this issue came up but no, i paid 400 plus to fix it.. This was my fault? i also realize that after that all the plastic covering the motor was screw-less and free to flap around with nothing holding them in, they said they never removed them... right, when you were replacing my intake??? that`s not all then my break freezes six months in, found that the car had only a 3 wheel break job i didn`t even go up to the dealership, bam 500 plus to replace rear breaks and caliper.. the side window fell down the door and wont come up i took it to the dealer, they did nothing, mentioning to me that the extended 2 year warranty on the car doesn`t cover it after 100,000 miles and i purchased it with 101000, or something of that sort, why did i even buy that? my stupidity. so there goes 1500 bucks but that still doesn`t make up for that huge price gap they Greeked me on.. now the tranny is starting to knock, i leave messages and try to get some kind of help and i get no where, no call backs or any kind of help they just say gotta call here and there, and when i do they say i have to talk to the person who just told me to talk to them. Don`t feel stupid, stay away from this dealership. the salesmen there are jokes and crooks, fool of shams. do not listen to them. If you want to end up saying thanks for nothing, avoid this dealership for used cars.

Professional and Quick
The process was very smooth. They were very professional and we did not have to play any of those car sales games. I found the best price in town.

Used Cars
Do not use this dealer! Not only was I bold faced lied to, the service dept. was inept on servicing my "brand" new used vehicle which needed $750 of work a week after purchase. The transmission needed replaced and they could not remember where it was done or what type of trans. was used to replace the bad one. (The last sentence is true, I could not believe it either.) I had heard Mr. Ganley speaking when h... view moree was running for office. His speach is the reason I went there. He sounds conservative and honorable. Unlike his staff.

BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES
I HAVE DEALT WITH THIS DEALERSHIP TWICE. BOTH TIMES THEY RAN MY CREDIT THROUGH AS MANY BANKS AND LENDERS AS POSSIBLE. THIS BROUGHT MY CREDIT SCORE DOWN BELOW 720 WHICH PUT ME IN A HIGHER INTEREST RATE WHEN I DID FINALLY FIND A CAR.
THEY SHOWED ME A MINIVAN WITH BALD TIRES AND DIRTY OIL AND AIR FILTERS AFTER THEY TOLD ME IT HAD BEEN THROUGH A SAFETY INSPECTION.
I FOUND OUT AT ANOTHER DEALER THE ONLY REASON THEY SHO... view moreULD RUN YOU THROUGH MORE THAN ONE OR TWO LENDERS IS IF YOU HAVE BAD CREDIT. MINE WAS EXCELLENT BEFORE THIS DEALERSHIP LOWERED IT. IT WAS DONE TO GET A HIGHER INTEREST RATE BECAUSE THEY GET A CUT OF THE INTEREST YOU PAY FROM THE LENDER. IT`S ALSO DONE SO NO OTHER DEALERSHIP CAN CHECK YOUR CREDIT UNLESS THEY USE THE SAME ROUTE GANLEY DID. IN OTHER WORDS SO YOU HAVE TO GO TO THEM FOR A CAR.
I AM FORTUNATE MY CREDIT WAS STIIL GOOD AFTER THE DAMAGE THEY HAD DONE OTHERWISE I COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN A LOAN ELSEWHERE.
