Reviews:
3 months after buying my vehicle at S & J, I had to replace the entire engine. Before I bought it, I noticed it sounded a little rough, and the check engine light was on. Their mechanic looked at it and said it was nothing and I figured it sounded loud due to the difference in my previous vehicle and this one I was thinking of purchasing. The owner drove it for a day to make sure the engine light didn`t come b... view moreack on and assured me it was fine. $1,700 later, NOW it`s fine. I have yet to take in my receipt and see if they will give me any $ back, but I seriously doubt it. I hope they all had nice holidays, cause all my extra money for Christmas went on my car.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY A...
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN! We were looking at minivans since our family is growing. We landed upon a Mazda. My wife fell in love with it. It was an ok price for it. We took it for a test drive. I noticed some smoking coming from the engine compartment. There wasn`t any leaking or anything. The check engine light did not come on at all. I noticed there was a small amount of oil residue next... view more to the cap as if it was spilled being filled up. That happens. I voiced my concern about the smoking. They stated it was probably just spilled oil as I suspected. They stated that if it was not, that they would fix it. The salesman the entire time we were filling out paperwork was talking about how he used to drink all of the time, and told stories of his crazy ex girlfriends. He also used a great amount of obscenities especially for a business environment. We paid our deposit, tax and title and filled out our paperwork. We are driving the vehicle home, and SURPRISE SURPRISE... the check engine light comes on. My wife takes it the next morning to a trusted garage while I am at work. The code came back with an emissions error. We then take it to the car lot. I informed my wife to just ask for our money back. They must have known there was something wrong. The manager
(the owner`s husband) told her to go inside to the owner to get the money back. The entire time she is giving attitude. These people are extremely unprofessional. I am so glad that I no longer have to deal with them. STAY AWAY!

says on thing and does another
I recently required a van from this company and i`m and less then impressed. It has been one problem after another with this dealership. when my husband and I looked at the van we were wanting to purchase my husband discovered 2 leaks on the van. An oil leak and a transmission leak. He told the guy that we wanted the van, but we werent going to purchase unless the problems were fixed. The "salesman&quot... view more; assured us the problem would be fixed. So, we put 1,100 dollars down. They said they would call the next day when it was fixed. Well, by the next evening they hadnt called.soo my husband called them to see if the van was done. They said it was and had been. We were irritated they didn`t call and felt it was unprofessional, but we blew it off and picked up the van and drove it the 60 miles back to our home.
My husband and neighbor climbed under the car to see of the leaks were fixed and as a matter of fact, neither leak had been fixed at all. My husband was really upset that we were lied too, he called S & J back and told them the leaks were not fixed as promised. S&J autos wanted us to drive the van the 60 miles back to "fix" it supposly "again". My husband said forget it, bought the parts and easily fixed it himself.
That was the first incedent. The second was when we got a call 4 weeks later from S & J`s, they told us we were 2 weeks late on a payment. We were lost as to what they were talking about. We asked how they could be. S&J said it was because we were supposed to make weekly payments for the first month. But we knew they told us we would have a monthly payment around the 20th of every month. But they had actually put on our paper work it was weekly, we didn`t think of checking that part when we were told monthly when we got the car. We told S&J that`s was not what was said when we got the van, but of course they had no relcelaction of this discussion.
And the latest incedent. S & J auto sales repossed my van in the middle of the night. They never left us any notice on our door that the van was been taking, no letter in the mail of anything being over due, and no phone call of a problem. There excuse was we owed $500.00 for tax and title, which when we got the van we were told they would work on that with us, by making payments or paying it at a later date. But we have seen this dealership is NOT loyal to there word and should have seen this coming. We reminded them of the deal we had about that, but once again, thy had no recalection to the discussion on the matter.
So, they want us to pay $500.00 to get the car back and an additional $200.00 for a repo fee. They drove the van to S&J`s with the full tank of gas we just put in the van and our belongings inside. I had purchased this van because I i`m pregnant and I have 2 small other children. Now I don`t have a car to get them anywere. All because the false pretenses I was lead to believe from this "dealership".
This car company acted very nice and cooperative when it came to us wanting to make the purchase, but since we have gotton this car they have wanted to nickle and dime us to death and leave us with nothing.
I would tread VERY lightly if you are thinking of getting any kind of car from this company.
