MY DREAM BECAME MY WORST NIGHTMARE

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS, So it starts like this I have worked hard most of my life and I turned 50 and I felt it was time for me to do something for me for a change.I diecided to buy my dream car that I have been waiting for for over 30 years and I came across this ad. Niceely detailed in and out and runs and drives great. Motor # 3855981 passenger which means 66 CHEVELLE, check online mortec or kendrik.... view more Im pretty sure the trans is a 350 turbo,it shifts good. Trunk looks ok it has had a bottom put in it,could use alittle more detailing ,look at pics. Floors are good I seen 2 patch panels in the back 1 on each side they look good I think you would agree.Frame is real nice. Paint is real nice clean door jambs under the hood and under the trunk. Lots of new chrome and stainless,bumpers,doors handles,mirrors,whether strip,window felt,emblems and more. Very nice soft top. Power and Yes it works. 15 inch ralley rims 7s in the front and 8 in the back. THIS IS A NICE LITTLE CHEVELLE READY TO GO AND ENJOY. Call me if you need to 513 464 3939 Earl. So I called Earl and he told me the car was great and that I was going to enjoy it. But you see Im from NJ and I made a big mistake of taking Earls word insted of going out to Ohio and looking a the car over myself. I have been a mechanic for over 30 years and beleave me I can`t make up what happen next. I got a loan for $18,000 and bought my dream car a 1966 chevelle SS clone convertable I waited for 2 weeks before it was flatbeded to home in NJ and I met the flat bed driver with excitement in front of my house. He rolled it off the flat with out starting it and as soon as it hit the road I went over and jumprd in it and turned the key to hear my baby roar but thats when my nightmare started. I could not keep the engine running after about 10 mins or so I got the car in to my garage I opened the butterfly window becouse it had been so long since I seen one and it fell off then I rolled down the windows and they came off there tracks,This is a list of some of the stuff that I have found and that I am trying to repair. Engine needed a complete valve job 2 valve gaides bad ment no compression in # 5 cly I had to pull both heads-Trans was leaking so bad after 3days in the garage there was a big puddle under the trans of fluid and the trans cross member homemade angle iron supports where bing held up by speed screws-Rear also leaked so I checked the gear oil it was empty that means this car could not have been driven-Lots of missing bolts off bumpers -engine-trans-grill area was riveted together -ROOF did not work and you can`t keep fluid in the pump.RUST patched all over chassile with fiberglass then painted to hide-All body mounts rusted so bad that the body has to come off to make repairs and I don;t have to tell what thats going to cost-THE BODY WAS PAINTED COVERED UP ONLY TO LOOK GOOD IN PICTURES IT NOT STRAIGHT AT ALL. There is so much more but you get the point ,Please If you read an ad and it sounds good that is the reason you need to go check it out Don`t take Earls word for it as you see I did and now am paying the big price. SO I HOPE THAT SOME DAY EARL WILL READ THIS,THANKS EARL CLARK FOR MAKING A HARD WORKING MANS DREAM A NIGHTMARE I HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY EVERY PENNY.
