I took my Wrangler in, to have the leaf springs replaced. I located my own leaf springs because I was informed that they are hard to find. I asked them to put them on.
It turns out I needed all the bushings, bolts and sleeves, too, so I began to hunt those hard to find items down as well. Over the next 3 days I returned to the shop with various and wrong products I found from the ver... view morey unreliable auto part stores like Murrays, Advance Auto and Autozone, all who cannot seem to get these parts for a common american car, like a Jeep!
So I eventually discovered the excellent Cleveland Spring company, who had all the parts I needed, on the 4th day I dropped off the parts and suggested to a guy at Enger that they get an account with CleveSpring, because they had my parts all along.
I was told that they did have an account, and the guy could not explain why the guys who had my jeep did not order the parts or tell me, day one, about CleveSpring!
They took much delight in seeing my exasperation attempting to locate these parts, as I returned to the shop with wrong parts countless times, when all along they knew where to get them.
If this is the sort of over-priced ""help"" you expect to receive from an auto repair company, well, then Enger is for you!
Hopefully I will get to pick up my Jeep today, I was originally quoted $139 to have this job done (Labor only, likely will take just over an hour, if that. Sounds like robbery to me) and we will see if that original agreement is still in place.
