I have used Brian for over 12 years. It seems lately that his attitude is one of him doing me a favor and that I should be grateful that he works on the cars I bring him. Just a few situations to point out. Had a brake job on my wife`s car about a year ago. Had to take it back to him for serious steering wheel shake when braking about 6 months ago. It is right back to doing it again. Had him work on a truck for us th... view moreat I literally had to go to his shop and figure out the problem myself and instruct him on how to remedy it(the whole time Brian stating "This is not my problem"). Took a Toyota Camry to him to have a new ABS module installed and he does an alignment on the car that was not requested. He still charged me for it. The last straw was a vehicle that I was having a rack and pinion installed. Note that this car steered just fine when I brought it to him. It simply had a bad rack due to and impact on both tie rods. When I got the car back It barely steers(worse than manual steering). I also notice a clicking in the steering wheel area. I called Brian to let him know that I was bring it back to have that looked at. He said that I had to have the steering computer reset. I told him that might help the steering itself but what about the clicking. He said there is no way that he did anything wrong and that I needed to get it to the dealership and have everything cleared. I told him I would but I was very concerned about the steering wheel clicking. So I get it to Kuni to have them tell me that the clock spring is broken as well as the steering angle sensor located right in the steering wheel area. Cost will be over $1100 to fix. So I call Brian and he does not answer. So I drive down to his shop and tell him what Kuni found. He said that he has been doing this for over 31 years and that he would not have even done that job for anyone else and that there is no way he is responsible for it. Call me crazy but when I bring a car into this shop and it steers fine with no broken clock spring and I get it back the way that I did It can only point to one person. Bottom line is he does not think he is responsible and is doing nothing to help me out. I simply told him it had been nice doing business with him. I write this to help anyone looking to have this kind of work done be aware of what they could be getting into.

ABS
I have went to this shop for many years, the past couple of years the owner Brian, has quite the attitude and his work has went down hill, I will say he needs to appreciate his customer not think that his customer are lucky to have him. "This time in life he needs to feel lucky his busniess is still alive" with Brian putting out " bad work " & "bad attitude" he will not be in bus... view moreiness to much longer I am sure. There are make alligment & brake shops in the town of vancouver. "Carl`s to name one " Good Luck "

Problem Child Owner has issues. (Needs treatment?)
I had the most bizarre experience ever at ABS yesterday, (Monday, Aug 16, 2010). I had a 7am appointment for a wheel alignment for my daughter`s Jeep. Not only were they late at opening the shop, but the owner (Brian) who does the alignments wasn`t there at all. The employee who opened the shop said that Brian had a long weekend and got in late last night, so he would be coming in to work late by an estimated 1 to... view more 2 hrs. I said that`s nice, I have a 7am appointment that I got up early for. My daughter was with me and so we just hung out and got coffee and gassed up her tank. Finally by 8:30, Brian calls me and says he`s swamped but will take me by 9am. So he`s now taking other customers before me just because I`m not currently at the shop?? So I asked him what I should do for another half hour waiting on him? He asks me why I`m being so difficult and that he really doesn`t give a F_ck if he does my alignment. WOW!! I responded by saying I`ll talk with him further about this. He said"come on over". We knew at that point we didn`t want him working on her Jeep just because of attitude but I still wanted to tell him my thoughts and how he should never treat a customer like this. The worst thing is, I`ve been a regular customer there for about 12 years and we`ve never had a problem, at least `til now. When we arrived, I saw no customers, and he was not working on any cars. He recognized me as soon as I walked into the shop and the 1st thing he says to me is "What the F_ck is your problem with this alignment?" I was sooo blown away by his language and temper that I couldn`t even translate my real thoughts anymore. My intent was to have a calm conversation with him and that was never allowed to take place. (Did he think he was doing me a favor by making me wait an extra 2 hours for work?) Instead, I walked out after several minutes of heated conversation and as I walked out, I had to keep looking over my shoulder in fear of possibly having a wrench thrown at me, since he was handling some tools. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but he was so irrational that I will never go back and let my friends know about the worst experience I`ve ever received at an auto repair shop. I don`t know how he`s handling or midhandling his personal life, but he needs some anger management classes to start with and get to the core of what`s causing all this. I wouldn`t rule out some good rehab. It was sooo bizarre that it seemed surreal. What causes somebody to go off like that? His anger was just exploding just because I seemed to question his authority. And even if I was wrong (I wasn`t) in what I did, he was way out of line with his unprofessionalism. And if I would have been wrong in speaking up, then I guess I should just drink the Kool Aid and take a seat. Other shops will benefit by his careless treatment of people and if he keeps it up, will soon find himself out of business. There`s more to this story, but it has been abbreviated for simplicity sake. Good luck Brian, you need to speak to customers as if you appreciate their business, not make them feel lucky to have you. You need to keep your appointments, and if not, then be able to call customers to re schedule or to cancel. (BTW, I`ve been a business owner for years and would never, never fabricate a story like this. This is strictly factual, and the name has not been "changed to protect the innocent".)
