trustworthy and good mechanics
I went in for a couple things - alignment, e-brake adjustment and to have them check my brakes (I thought I needed to have the brake fluid replaced). Well the alignment is great, the e-brake works like it should again, and they even told me that my brake fluids did not need replacing and that I probably just needed to seat my brake pads. In other words they could have charged me but opted not to. Honesty is worth a l... view moreot, especially when it comes to auto mechanics. I`ll be back for sure!

LOVE THESE GUYS!!
I was foolish enough to take my car elsewhere for a brake job, and was completely ripped off. I should have come back to Everett St. in the first place! They are honest and do dependable work.
I brought my car in to have the front brakes done after being told elsewhere they were critically low, and Everett St. called to tell me they didn`t need to be done at all, the only thing I needed was an oil change. Than... view morek you so much guys. Never going anywhere else again!!

HONEST!
My car was making a funny noise and my husband thought it might be the air conditioner going out. When I took my car into the Honda dealer for its routine oil change and maintenance, I mentioned it to them. When I went to pick up my car from the dealer, they confirmed that indeed the A/C compressor and receiver dryer needed to be replaced. They quoted me $1,615.00 to do that.
I went home and called a few other ... view moreauto shops. My son had highly recommended Everett Street Auto so they were one of the shops I called. They were very nice and helpful on the phone and they quoted me $1,050.00 for the same work--$600.00 less than the dealer. I made an appointment and took my car into Everett Street.
Later that day, Brandon called me and told me that they were unable to find a problem with my air conditioning. They had checked it several times that day, and nothing was wrong. They didn`t want to replace something that wasn`t broken. When I went to pick up my car, I wanted to pay them for their time that they had spent checking out my car. They insisted that I didn`t owe them anything, and to just bring it back if it started to make a noise again!
I appreciate their honesty, friendliness, and good service. I will definitely be bringing my car there the next time it needs work.

The only place I will take my car
I have never had a bad experience here at Everett Street Autoworks. Everyone there is knowledgeable and friendly. It was recommended that I check this place out by several coworkers so I took my car in and it was a piece of cake. I have gone there several times now for oil changes and other things and I have had CONSISTANTLY great experience.
I love it there and you will too.

We went here for a second opinion
We had already had our recently purchased car reviewed at the lot. Then, we went to the dealership and got a long laundry list of things that they said HAD to be done. Finally, we brought the car to Everett Auto for an inspection. They found the things we`d had mentioned but their estimates were lower, and many of the things listed by the dealership Everett assured us were not pressing the way it had sounded. Thi... view mores is about what we suspected since the car has run beautifully since day one and paying $3000 on preventative repairs seemed ridiculous.
We did have them fix a few of the minor problems with the car door seal and do an oil change, and it did take several hours all in all out of our day, but it was also the amount of time they had quoted us, and the overall cost was stunningly less expensive than if we`d had the exact same things done at the dealership.
In particular, I appreciated the way the guy at the front desk made sure to answer any questions, and I liked the way the mechanic made very detailed, clear, understandable notes on anything they did find in the engine.
This repair shop really gave us a feeling of confidence that they were being honest and reliable in their dealing with us.

Does Citysearch review its reviews?
The very serious allegations posted on 8/5/08 by lwebbcarter2 against Mr. Carter prompt me to write. This obvious attack on Mr Carters character leave one wondering the legitimacy of anything they might read on CitySearch. The cowardice of the author is apparent in their writings, and these allegations should have been done in the offices of Everette Autoworks, not posted in a public review. lwebbcarter2`s first com... view morement is the only relevant statement to this forum:

I really do not have a problem with this shop.
The rest of the review leans towards criminal slander.
I guess nobody checks for accuracy. I have never had my car serviced at this business, and can`t comment, however, Cary has been our family mechanic for over 25 years. The only REAL truth I see in the writers review is Mr Carter`s joy in playing music. What does that have to do with my car?

Avoid this shop these Part Time wanna be Musicans Employ Criminals as Mechanics
I really do not have a problem with this shop only their employment practices. They hire criminals such as Cary Carter. Although he might seem like a good mechanic(at one point I am sure he was) however he is the most evil person to have work on your car. He might just make the problem you are having repaired worse so he can make more money off you or just get some kind of warped satisfaction of any problems you m... view moreight have. Also he is wanted for check fraud and is a drunk driver and lost his license in oregon. So his employer might just want t check on that before they employ anyone.

a mechanic you can TRUST
I am moving away, and my mechanic gave me a ""gift box"" for my road trip with coolant and oil. I can`t imagine taking her elsewhere.
I have been going to this mechanic shop for over 5 years now and feel like i live in a small town 30 years ago where your mechanic is more then a mechanic, he`s your friend.
They have provided me with friendly, HONEST (and very importantly to me) educational service. my car is ... view morealways dealt with in a timely manner and comes out of the shop purring like an old lap cat.
If you`re looking for a mechanic in town, i highly recommend these guys!!!
