I`ve worked with Northfield Collision and there sister store, Collision Service of Green for over 15 years. During that time they have fixed my vehicles, my daughters vehicle, my ex-wife`s vehicles, and at least 30 other people I sent their way. They have always delivered the best service of any body shop I ever dealt with over the years. The work has always been flawless. For me, being able to refer someone that does a good job is extremely important. Every person I sent to Northfield Collision or Collision Service of Green thanked me for setting them up with a professional legitimate company to help them with their cars and trucks. I read a couple of the other reviews which surprised me. First off, I rarely (if ever) spoke directly to the owner Ed Vanaman because I dealt directly with his GM`s at those locations. He has people in charge that handle the day-to-day operations. When I asked to speak to him (Ed) he met met me promptly at The Northfield location. At that time, I just wanted him to know how satisfied I was with the work on my van. He was extremely cordial. So, the gentleman that called him a ""jerk"" in a previous review sounds to me like it was nothing more than a ""fake"" review from a competitor. Then there was the person who complained about the ""insurance"" question from one of the Northfield staff. From my experience, they ask that question because they will be working directly with the insurance adjuster to fix a vehicle the right way. From my experience with insurance companies, some of them like to have an adjuster give an estimate before a collision shop does. I`ve been with a few different insurance companies and they all differ in procedure. I had a couple friends that I referred to them that were paying for the damage out-of-pocket and they always give estimates if you ask and if you bring your car in. Again, it sounds like a competitor making up a story. The fact is, my experience with Northfield Collision and Collision Service of Green has been nothing but great and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing quality work after a crash or accident.

CROOKS AND INSURANCE SCAMMERS!
When I called to get an estimate for my wifes jeep the first question I was asked was ;"" would this be an insurance job?"" When I answered no I was told they were very busy and wouldn`t have time to give me an estimate for two weeks! DO NOT HAVE YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE!! The manager Norm is RUDE and OBNOXIOUS! He treated me like complete dirt from the moment I started talking to him! He acts like he works for the insurance company and refused to fix things that happened to my car caused by the accident! Northfield Collision is a typical auto body collision repair biz serving Northfield, Macedonia, Sagamore Hills, Walton Hills, and general Nordonia Hills area. What is outstandingly unusual about them has to be Ed Vanaman, the owner. What a total jerk this guy is - I`ll never take one of our vehicles there again. This is a runthrough of my experience with northfield collision


-Forced me to get extra parts i didn`t need, such as a panel just above the hood that had one miniscule piece of paint missing
-Mismatched the color of the bed of my truck to the rest, including the body kit, so it looks just great!
-I asked them to use aftermarket parts to save money, but statefarm wouldn`t allow me to use them, thankfu... view morelly Northfield tire gave me a fender with pinhole dents all around
-The hood NEEDED at least 2 more layers of paint, after 2 months it began to chip off in areas, when the rest of my 1997 truck is rustfree and chipless. The painted barcode under the paint is also clearly visible from the side
-The hood was also put on crooked, just noticeable at first.. but over time it gets pushed more and more by its own alignment and will now almost never close completely
-finally, it took 3 weeks to replace a hood, bumper, fender, and headlight because they couldnt manage not to break the trim around the headlight.
My truck was hit by yet another driver, and i pointed out the disfunction in the hood to one of the workers, ignoring the rest of the problems and the use of aftermarket parts just so i wouldn`t be complaining too much. After asking if there was a possibility of fixing crooked, underpainted hood, I was refused business.
Scam? cheap parts, clumsy workers, no quality.. you tell me
