Great deal
Just got a 1998 Cherokee XJ from these guys. 1 Owner local trade in. I have been shopping jeeps for 3 months only to find faded paint and torn interiors. This is by far the best Jeep Cherokee XJ i have seen and im very happy with it. I was there at 6pm and they stayed until i drove home in it. Next day they washed it and sent me home with a free oil change. These guys have been in business in winston-salem for a lo... view moreng time dont be fooled by people leaving bad reviews because they cant pay their car note.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
I would listen to everyone on here that wrote bad reviews. I have had my car not even two months now and it just broke down on me and also needs new breaks. They are friendly when you go in but their cars are JUNK. If I were you I would NOT NOT NOT go to Hometown Auto!! If you do after reading these reviews...then you deserve the piece of junk you get.

Sorry Company, With Sorry Car
I had some trouble and went to hometown they were great anf friendly and very eager to help. They got me into a car a very nice looking car. A month latter the car started to have some problems. I took it to a dealor and had it checked out. They gave me a list of things that was wrong with the car. I then went directly to Hometown and told them what was going on. They were friendy again and very convincing to te... view morell me that there was nothing wrong with the car and all the dealer wanted was money. The next thing that happened is the transmission started to give out. They sent me to a place to repair the transmission then added the repairs to the loan, what is up with that! Then the tire rod and barrings went out: I paided $250 out of my own pocked, and they still want their payments. The next thing is the check engine light went on and got that checked, Their was a wireing problem that would cost $2,500 to repair. They would not do anything. Then after one year the transmission went out again, OH YES. They still will not help or do anything. After I have came to them over and over again with things that is going on and the problems they will not help. It is like the friendship is out the window. And now I have a repo on my credit because of them. I WILL STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. IT SEEM ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY!

Great Cars and Service
I went to hometown to get me a car, they got me into what I wanted and I had no problem out of it. It was a Ford Explorer and when gas got too costly I wanted to trade and they put me in a 2006 Pontiac G6 without a problem and I have NOT had any problems out of it. It is a great car and they offered great customer service. Thanks Guys (Curtis)!!!!!!!!

worst cars ever
I bought a car from them and they made me feel like I was family when I was in there but 2 days later when the car I bought broke down they acted like they didn`t know me.

HomeTown Auto - not good!
Ok, my credit had slipped. I trusted these guys. I bought a 99 Taurus. The heater never worked. I bought it in the summer so I didn`t even think to check it. A year later I had to replace the headgasket and a cracked head -expensive. That winter I replaced the heater core - expensive. This past January, I had to replace the transmission - very expensive. Two weeks ago it over heated - I have another blown head gasket... view more... I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Sorry Vehicles
Well I can say that they had great urgency in getting me into a vehicle but the vehicle that I bought was a peice of garbage. They already knew that I had made some prior mistakes in the past with my credit but I want to change. Come on now if you sell someone a sorry vehicle do you really expect them to pay for it. Within 2 weeks my alternator went bad $250. Then the next month a repair for $350. dont forget I had o... view morenly made 1 car payment. Then I was driving on the highway with no phone and the peice of garbage breaks down and my engine is gone. Now you tell me what you think and I have to pay my car payment in a week. The vehicles look good but they are bad cars. So run run run away.

Insulting!
They told me one thing on the phone to get me into the store. When I got there, there story changed and they went out of there way to avoid me. I have never been so insulted by a ""professional"" company in my life. Typical bad news used car dealer.

A year and a half ago I went to hometown and got my van. They were friendly and eager to help. They did everything possible to get me my van. Just today, I went back to hometown and got my second van. Thank you Hometown!!!

CRAPPY!
I went in to buy a car. When they found out that I had just moved here from out of state, they blew me off and said they would call but never did! A true insult to consumers trying to find an honest place to buy a car.
