National speed
First off I`ll say if you have any brain what so ever. Do not go to national speed. They will screw you over like they have many people. I spent over 10k there getting my car built and boosted. And I`ve had nothing but problems and I haven`t even hit 2k miles on the motor yet. They are scam artists and do not care about anything but money. I`ve called many times trying to get there help to fix my problem and they say... view more they can`t get me in for 2 months? I`m taking my car somewhere else to get fixed. As should everyone else. National speed is a joke.

National Speed is by far the best performance shop that I have worked with and I have worked with many. The first time I worked with National Speed is when I was deployed to Afghanistan. I was interested in getting my 06 350z boosted and they did all the research for me giving me different routes to take for what I was looking to get into. They didn`t push me into doing something that I didn`t want to do and gave me ... view morethe space to think about what decision I wanted to make unlike other performance shops consistently pursuing and making me feel uncomfortable. While I was deployed they would every so often stay in touch with me just to make sure how I was doing instead of just talking about projects and cars. That showed me that not only do they care about their business, but also the customer as well. When I finally got back to the states and braught my car to them to get work done they welcomed me with open arms as if they were my own friends when that was the first time they have ever met me. They always have a nice clean shop unlike other shops that will have parts laying down all over the place. You can talk to every tech in their shop to pick their brain which helped me decide which tech I wanted to work on my car. All their techs are good, but one tech stood out more than the others because of his passion as an enthusiast. They handled my car as if it were their own instead of slamming the doors or leaving grease behind and went the extra mile to fix other things on my car for free like my A/C. They stay in touch with me giving me news letters on events going on around my area or events that they are hosting. They definally back up all the work they do or say, and if they aren`t able to meet the customers needs they do everything it takes to make the customer happy before walking out the door. Definally a highly recommended shop to get your car worked on!

I would not recommend National Speed. I was recommended by a mechanic friend in Fayetteville, and that they had the UpRev Tuner capability. I had my car tuned already before from another tuner out west, LOVED my setup...I noticed I was using too much Fuel when I moved out east, took the car to NS, they outright were nowhere able to tune the car as I had it before, I can tell with the Tuner he was the type that would ... view morenot take so much care and precision in the tune, they would tune it with (The ALL the cars are the same) where as I have a Nissan and very well knew what it was capable of. They blew my Auto transmission, in which I finally towed the car home after MONTHS of having the car in their pocession where they repeatedly failed to have my car tuned on time. After replacing the transmission, they produced mush less whp ratings then what they car produced before, while almost maxing my Fuel Injectors....SO in plain words, their tuner is NOT the best. You can tell when you talk to them, they just wat your money. They told me my car would pass inspection, clearing the CEL`s YET my car failed state inspection, so they ripped me off again. I WILL NOT recommend them to any serious tuners

Terrible.
I brought my S2000 in after it shut off just outside of Wilmington. Tow truck guy suckers me into taking it to national speed. After looking at a couple different reviews I decide to take it there. Upon arrival one of the techs asks what happened so I tell him it shut off right after the oil light came on and that I NEVER attempted to restart the car for fear of causing more damage (oil pump and spun bearing?). The t... view moreech agrees that it was a goo thing I didn`t restart it and says they`ll take a look at my car and let me know ASAP what`s wrong. Well I call them after the weekend and I speak to an apathetic f*c$er who said (verbatim) "to find out what was wrong with it we restarted your car and it started knocking like crazy do we shut it off and checked the oil. There was metal shavings in the oil. PROBABLY need a new motor man." WTF?!?!? Really? They couldn`t have checked the oil first? F*ck these guys. Dont believe any positive reviews of this place Bc they probably logged online and wrote them themselves. And insult to injury these a^sholes wanted to charge me a "$100 diagnostic fee" and they couldn`t even DIAGNOSE the problem. Ridiculous. Needless to say I didn`t pay it. If it wasn`t for moving in the next few days I would have brought their asses to court.

They are horrible. I had an exhaust put on my car and dynoed. The Dyno was "Broken" and unable to give me a print out, but they assured me it was done. The car actually felt slower afterwards, but I was not able to prove it. One side of the exhaust started slanting in (Dual exhaust). They said if it happened in the first month it was their fault, but it had been months so it was "Caused by load&qu... view moreot; and would require $100 in labor to be adjusted back to straight. I`m never going back there.

Top notch performance work! Will return!
I`ll start by saying I` m a car enthusiast and always have been, but money has always been hard to come by. That being said, whenever I needed work done on my 240, why pay to have it done twice? I figure why not take it somewhere where it will be done once, and done RIGHT. I was in the shop during numerous dyno days and have listened to Jordan and Nick talk about every conceivable platform to a degree I could barely ... view moreunderstand. John came and personally talked to me about the work he was going to do on my car before I agreed to anything. He explained every component in great detail beforehand and I had no qualms after that! After I came to pick back up the car, John came and talked to me again and told me of any issues he had, how he fixed it and even mentioned he cleaned up some loose stuff for free! There is no better speedshop in NC, or even on the east coast for that matter. Sorry for the long review, but these guys are top notch. Will definitely be returning.

Disappointing to say the least
They bought and installed the wrong turbo for me. Cracked a piston. Dented the cylinder head. Broke the gas tank. And they could only make 328 awhp with my evo after they "completed" all the warranty work. Got the car back, took it to CBRD in York, PA. They fixed all the National Speed`s garbage and now I make 360 awhp. And all CBRD did was replace the diverter valve and boost contoller. Oh and they actuall... view morey did a boost leak test like they said they would. National Speed is good when they want to be, I guess, but they straight sucked when it came to my car.

Unsatified Customer
BEWARE...Horrible experience. I`d advise anyone that is looking for performance work, to look elsewhere. Broken promises, damaged parts, and blown motor.
