When I came to Southport in 20...
When I came to Southport in 2005, I was in dire need of finding a reputable repair shop. Not only a shop that could handle current car models, but vintage cars as well. I found that in Royal Coach & Motor Works. Jay and his two mechanics, Mitch & Rusty have always been there to help me, not only with their quality work, but at a reasonable price and I know that I can completely trust them. I had an experi... view moreence when I blew the engine of my 71 Olds. Jay found me another engine, had it delivered to the machine shop and then when that work was complete, he went and picked up and installed the engine at about half that it would have cost me in Northern Va. He never charged me a cent in storage fees although my car sat in his shop for over a month waiting for the machine work to be completed.
His two mechanics, Mitch and Rusty are very knowledgeable and their work is of the highest quality. I`ve seen them both work with customers that may not be able to afford the repair so that they can resolve their problem. They are even there for folks needing a hand with something other than car work.
I have sent folks to have their cars worked on and have always been told of their positive experience.
Besides having a great shop, Jay and his wife do alot for communities near and far. Throughout the year, Jay and Kelly collect clothing and other goods and then deliver them around Thanksgiving to the poverty stricken areas in Appalachia. They sponsor a young boy and provide him with gifts each Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, last year, Jay and Kelly opened the shop on Christmas Morning and cooked for the area homeless and folks down on their luck. They fed about 100 people. They even delivered meals to the local nursing homes. It was a sight to see.
You can`t go wrong with this Shop. Even if you don`t need any work done, stop in and say hi.
