Exceeded Expectations Twice
I had my oil changed there for the first time mid-August. Dropped the car off, went shopping for a book and picked it back up. No waiting; no other cars getting an oil change at the time.
Here`s where they exceeded my expectations twice. It`s now mid-October and I have an oil leak (smoke billowing into my car from the engine). A friend who works on cars takes a look under my car and sees that the oil filter ha... view mores either been forced on or someone started to force it off and couldn`t so just left it. My friend suggested someone had put a screw driver through the oil filter to pry it off and then stopped and left it like that. He suggested I take it back to whomever changed the oil last.
I went to Just Tires, seething inside, but (fortunately) kept my cool when I went in. I asked if they had electronic records of service. They did and found my name and when the service was performed. I showed them the picture of my damaged, leaking oil filter. He said he couldn`t imagine why it would just start two months later but he took my keys and gave me a $0 estimate for the fix.
Oil filter and oil replaced. Given back my keys and I wasn`t charged (exceeded my expectation that I didn`t have to put up a fight). Gentleman apologized and asked again if I had any work done on my car since having the oil changed as oil filters are put on my hand and it was driving him nuts trying to figure out what happened. I said that i had not. Only thing that I had done was an Inspection two weeks earlier but (a) the car doesn`t go on the rack that I knew of for that and (b) had it done at Jiffy Lube so car wouldn`t have gone on rack anyway. They have a pit.
Light bulb pop on over the gentleman`s head - He thinks that when i went to Jiffy Lube, the kid in the pit thought I was there for an oil change, pierced the oil filter with his screwdriver and with a hammer and the screwdriver was trying to get the oil filter off. Realized it was only an inspection and just walked away with a hole in my oil filter.
Gentleman at Just Tires still did not charge me for replacing the filter and oil. This exceeded my expectations twice: (1) didn`t have to fight the first time to not pay and (2) wasn`t asked to pay when we realized what most probably had happened. That`s goes far in my book

Long Wait & Horrible Customer Service
I had a coupon to get an oil change at Just Tires and went to the Glenwood Ave. location. The guy at the counter told me it would be 1 hour, and hour and a half max. I normally wait with my car, but decided to go shopping to kill the time. It was just after 11:30 and I came back about 12:30. I asked about the status of my car, and he told me it was the next one to be taken into the bay. About 15 minutes later, they f... view moreinally took it into the bay, and after another 15 minutes, they had finally put it on the lift and begun emptying it. I decided to go get something to eat, and returned about 1:45. My car was out of the bay. When I walked up to the counter, I asked the man why I hadn`t been called to say my car was ready (which they told me they would do) and his only excuse was that he had just returned from lunch. I will never go to Just Tires for anything again, even if it was free!
