These guys are competent and honest. I had a problem that even Leith, the Mercedes dealer, could not resolve and still charged me for the time. A Better Wrench found the problem and repaired it within less than an hour. They went on to repair other issues without having to use the spare part I brought. DISHONEST!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BENZ HERE! I did. The guys at A Better Wrench ""worked"" on it for almost a year charging me upwards of 5000 bucks. They claimed all kinds of problems - always a new mechanic working on the car each time. Frustrated, I eventually took it to another mechanic who immediately figured out the problem was extremely simple and inexpensive (cracked distributor cap) not to mention OBVIOUS! Got a Benz? TAKE IT HERE

I have known the folks at ABW for over ten years, and they are the best from the top down. Where else would you find an owner who prefers to get dirty out in the shop doing work for his clients? They have the best technicians available, one of who is a good friend (I met him through the shop). Call me biased, but take a look at the other reviews and you`ll get the picture.

A great place to go

I`ve been going to Better Wrench for car service for the past 4 years, and they have been absolutely wonderful to me from the beginning. Their work quality is excellent and they are willing to go that extra mile for customers. I wouldn`t go anywhere else!

Be careful, double check everything

I brought my Mercedes to A Better Wrench to replace a defective Gearshift Assembly. They assured me that they would replace it with a new part. When I got it back, the track looked worn and the face was dirty. They had jury-rigged the original shifter and hoped I wouldn`t notice. After I confronted them, they admitted to putting the old shifter back in, but claimed that they were able to fix it by breaking it op... view moreen and replacing a clip. Mercedes lists this part as "replacement only, do not disassemble," because it is an electrical component that controls the transmission and failure could damage the transmission and/or cause an accident. The entire experience with A Better Wrench was a disaster. In addition to lying to me about the work, and performing a dangerous repair, they put a thumbnail sized chip in the wood trim around shifter ($148.00 to replace trim) and damaged the wood and leather gearshift knob ($480 to replace gearshift knob). To top it all off, they returned the vehicle filthy.

Sloppy work

My experience with A Better Wrench was a disaster. In addition to not correctly performing the work, they put a thumbnail sized chip in the wood trim and damaged the wood and leather gearshift k nob. To top it all off, they returned the vehicle filthy.

The best for Mercedes Benz

I am actually amazed that there is such a nice place to get your car fixed. With the ridiculous prices at the dealer, this place is a Godsend. Honest, understanding & very competent, I couldn`t recommend any business higher.

Super honest, friendly, treat-you-like gold

These guys do a great job. I`ve been to dealers, places that try to get you in and out the door, and they`ve by far done the best with my `83 380SEL and S500. Very impressed

UPDATE: I`ve done about $5000 worth of business with these guys and will STILL keep coming back!! THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!!
