Most Trustworthy Auto Shop

I have dealt with my share of auto places. Most of the time, I`m resigned to using them because I don`t know much about cars and just have to take their word. More than once, I have felt cheated (trust me, I have horror stories). This place is the first place I have felt genuinely respected as a customer. The very first time I ever visited NC Transmission, I stopped in for an emergency check-up, as my car had t... view moreaken several tries to start that morning, and I feared getting stranded in Raleigh that evening. They did a quick once-over, assured me they didn`t find anything wrong, and let me go free of charge. This spoke volumes to me (and no, there was no problem with the car -- a little fluke that did not repeat). The second time I came back this time with a check engine light, they explained the problem to me in layman`s terms and charged reasonable rates to have it corrected. I always want to support local businesses when possible, and NC Transmission makes this easy to do with their friendly, reasonable, and trustworthy service.

Don`t use N.C transmission!!!!! 2500 wasted!!!!

I have a toyota and they have been in the transmission 4 to 5 times and did not fix! kept trying different things to fix! paid 2500 last year! brought back n before warr was up! They did not tell me they were not gonna cover under warranty until they called and said u owe 2200 dollers! Who can pay 2500 every year for transmission!!! Also messed up my fiance car too! Simply the Best

I am, of course, very delighted to have had the pleasure of doing business with NC Transmission. The professional and courteous attitude, expert knowledge, and patience in handling my specific issues were very important to my complete customer satisfaction.
After interviewing companies to complete this work on my car, and while coming into your establishment as a ""less than happy customer"" from the un-name... view mored company in Cary who previously rebuilt my transmission on my vehicle less than 30,000 miles ago, I wanted to write this with my thanks as well with my shock and astonishment.
First, the shock of knowing your company has such a work ethic and honesty to let me know about the mistakes found by your head mechanic that were made by the un-named company in Cary. After the completion of the work performed by your company I was told to drive the car for 1,000 miles and make a final check on the work before I took a road trip out of state for my annual fishing tournament. My car broke down out of state and I twed it back to you out of my own pocket as well as other expenses. Your head mechanic realized that he had missed a clamp which caused the break down. That leads me to astonishment. I have never had a mechanic or company ""own up to their mistake"" and reimburse me for the charges that incurred. I am so thankful to Daniel that there are still honest businessmen out there.
This is one less concern for me and I am deeply appreciative of your assistance and support. I am completely satisfied. I will continue my service with NC Transmission and look forward to referring your organization in the future

Not how I wanted to spend money

Yeah, I really didn`t want to spend a couple of grand on the transmission for my 2002 Acura TL, but I actually didn`t mind the experience! I broke down on 40, had to have the damned thing towed from the side of the road to their shop, and wow, they picked up the cost of the tow since I did the rebuild with them!
My Acura had 110,000 miles on it, and I guess this is a known problem with these things. Andy an... view mored Daniel diagnosed it, kept me informed and walked me through the whole process from beginning to end. I really like the way Andy confirms with me at every step that I am approving the process. I elected to let them do a full engine tune up while it was there in addition to the transmission rebuild.
Within a week, Andy and Daniel had my car back to me, in MUCH better shape than when I dropped it off. Andy took me into the shop and showed me my old parts and the mess I`d made of the transmission. They offered to ride with me before I paid, and were just generally helpful, kind, and professional. I am SO glad that I was introduced to these guys, and I can assure you that I am going to be using them for ALL my automotive needs.

Nissan Frontier Fixed Right, THANK YOU!

05 Nissan Frontier 4x4 V6 with full transmission rebuild needed because of radiator fluid wash back. Daniel and his guys at NC Transmission did an awesome job and took care of my needs. This transmission needed a full rebuild, and thanks to your expertise, everything runs like new and feels wonderful. I look forward to a professional relationship in the future.

Wasted $4,000 DO NOT USE !!!

I spent nearly $4,000 to have my transmission built. They said they had experience in with the E153 Toyota transmission ... they had NO experience with the Toyota transmission based on the premature failure after rebuild. The repair lasted less than 3000 miles and less than 10 months. The warranty was for 90 days, so I was screwed big time. If you have a Toyota, use Phil`s Toy Shop in Cary for repairs. But at least my dissatisfaction has been well accepted in some of the local clubs. And I hope this forum will keep you out of their shop.
