don`t waste your time waiting

They told me they`d be at my house between 1 and 5 pm. I waited around all afternoon, canceling a few things I had scheduled because I had to have my windshield fixed. At 5:45 I called the 1-800 number. The rep contacted the local outfit and came back to the line and told me they were closed for the day. No call to tell me this, no apology, no offer to make it right ... and then he had the audacity to ask me if I... view more wanted to re-schedule for tomorrow. I told him I would be taking my business ELSEWHERE.

HORRIBLE!

UNBELIEVABLE! These guys practically wasted my whole day. I was told that MIKE ELLIOTT would be at my house between 12-5 (as bad as waiting on cable to be installed) as I was also told I would be contacted by the installer, whom ofcourse never called nor showed. I was still willing to work with them until they pushed my next appointment up 4 days. HORRIBLE. Call GLASS DOCTOR. I did. And I got an appointment within ... view morean hour and the work was pheonomenal. Thanks for screwing up SAFELITE without you I wouldnt have found GLASS DOCTOR who I know will refer all my business to. Funny thing is.. When speaking to the Glass Doctor rep, I was told ""you wouldnt believe how much business we get from Safelite`s screw ups...

don`t waste your time

After having my car window bashed in (on a rainy day no less), I called Safelite and was relieved to get an appointment the next day. They said they`d come to my house between 12:00noon and 5:00pm (sound like anyone else you know?). That should have been a clue about how much they valued me as a customer, but I wanted my window fixed. So I waited, and waited, and waited. By 4:00pm I was getting nervous about it, s... view moreo I called them back to confirm the appointment, and was told, yes, it was scheduled for that day, and that the repairman would call me and let me know what time he would arrive. 5:00pm comes and goes, I call again and their office is closed. I left a message, but they still haven`t responded. Bottom line - they never showed up, they never even called, they just decided it was OK to waste my day. To me they`re just as bad as the criminals who vandalized my car, as both cost me the same amount of money.
