Honorable Shop

I went to my regular mechanic, who refered me to Lancaster for a transmission problem I was having. I was prepared for an expensive repair or replacement. Being a woman, I was afraid of being taken advantage of, but I know nothing about tranmissions. Much to my suprise, Mr. Lancaster was honest and respectful of me. He took my van for a little drive, came back and popped the hood open. I was suprised when he told me ... view morethat when I had my engine replaced, they may not have filled the tranny fluid completely. He added fluid, moved the van through all the gears, checked it again, added a little more, checked it for leaks. He took about 30 minutes checking fluid, and watching for leaks, getting under the van, going for little drives, coming back and re-checking. I told him when I first walked in I needed how much for a tranny rebuild or replace, but he was honest with me and told me it only needed more fluid, and charged me only for the fluid. He could have seen dollar signs when I walked in, and lord knows we all need money, but the truth was more important to him. If you want the truth, and don`t want to get ripped off, this is the shop to go to.
