Worst auto repair mistake of my life

JB INCOMPETENCE & DISHONESTY cost > $10,000: I pick up my BMW 323IC convertible from having loose stitching in the rear window repaired, noting the poor workmanship. Surprise! The top`s motor doesn`t work, & there is a tear in the side of the top. JB denies responsibility. Driving home, the dashboard instruments aren`t working! I return, assuming JB had snagged the top and blown a fuse while working. JB buys a non-B... view moreMW electrical component from a generic car parts store & plugs it in under the hood. Poof - sparks/fire/smoke! Nervously giggling, JB replaces the original part. I demand to get damage assessed & JB tries to send me to a mechanic friend, not knowing his shop or his last name. I went to a BMW specialist which declared the car it a total loss, unsafe to drive due to electrical damage and fire hazard. Luckily I only lost $1,000 because AMICA investigation agreed & offered me $10,000. I hope they sue this fraud.
