My first impressions of the dealer were good, but when we started the process of buying the car, things went down hill. They didn`t tell us the deductible requirements of the lien holder, or that we would need references beforehand, leaving us scrambling to change the deductibles and figure out the phone numbers of our references. Recently I changed the oil and the spark plugs on the car. One of the spark plugs had b... view moreeen broken and not replaced, and the oil filter housing was on so tight, the assembly had to be taken off the car to remove the housing, so who knows when the last time the filter was changed. And I found that the valve cover gasket is leaking. Stay away from Peak Motors at all costs.

North Carolina & Hickory Residents please save yourself some worry and do not purchase from Peak Motors in Hickory, NC They told me that I was purchasing a vehicle with an air conditioner. They said all I had to do was turn it over to the cool blue setting. I took their word for it and believed them. When April arrived and I needed some air, I realized the air was not cold and took it to have the Freon charge... view mored when I found out I didn`t have an air conditioner. I had paid them cash from where I had received an Insurance Settlement and trusted them. Ryan at Peak Motors as well as Sharon refuse to help me and Ryan was very rude to me. This is just part of the bad customer service I received from Peak Motors since Purchasing my car in December of 2012. I regret my decision tremendously!

Great environment

my first real nice car! I have owned a few but they worked with me, they were down to earth. Understood what everyone is going through for these tough times, they took my old truck as part of my down payment. it wasn`t very much but it helped and I didnt even think anyone would want that old ratty truck. they even worked with me on the financing! I looked around for my car forever and they had the lowest price around for 50 miles. I just thought that this was how I would them so this was my official review. great place, I am going to get my wife her next car from this place.

GREAT PLACE FOR LOW PRICE VEHICLES

I found the address online and used mapquest so we had NO PROBLEM finding the lot. We are from hickory area but i`d never been on that side of town.
the people were nice and friendly, and the prices were the lowest around for 50 miles on autotrader
we had no huge issues, but a good buying experience

I spoke to a woman on the phone the day before I drove up to Hickory from Charlotte, who explained they were a family owned business. En route to finding their location somehow I missed the correct street. I called to recalculate my directions and ""Mike"" was extremely RUDE to me. He could neither give me correct directions nor would he let me speak. He talked over me the entire conversation until he finally hung up... view more on me. Obviously he was having a bad day. I called back in the interest of having driven for almost 2 hours to get there and allot of planning on my part to which he answered the phone again and was just as rude to which I said ""I hope my car buying experience was not going to be as frustrating to me as was the current phone conversation"", to which he made an offhanded comment. I asked for the woman I had spoken to the day before and Mike said she was not due in until later. I discontinued the conversation. I never arrived at the Peak Motors location and drove the hour and a half back to Charlotte pretty upset. The phone conversation occurred appx. 11am. I travel as a regular part of my job daily and never have trouble with directions, apparently Peak Motors thinks I am not smart enough to either find their location or purchase one of their vehicles.
