Avoid this place like the plague. I always take my vehicles to Firestone Liberty Tire and Auto right across the street from them . There is always a line at their door prior to opening yet Merchants always seemed oddly quiet and empty at the same time. I always wondered about this and found out why last weekend when I chose to get an alignment done at Merchants instead because the line at Firestone was so long. Aft... view moreer spending nearly a Hundred bucks for an alignment (Firestone only charges 59.99) I was shocked that I was charged a $ 10 shop fee (Firestone doesn`t). WTF ?! Worse of all when I drove to work 38 miles away, my truck kept pulling right even worse than before I put it in the shop. Furious and suspicious I took it to Firestone today and after doing a diagnostic the front wheels were totally out of spec. I read their computerized printout sheet showing 3 out of 5 parameters were grossly off. What the hell did Merchants do to my truck after 5 hours and a $100 of my money? They never even gave me a computerized printout like Firestone did, only an invoice requesting payment. I should`ve known then that I`ve been had. After having another alignment done this time at Firestone where I should have gone in the first place, my truck now drives straight no issues at all. Merchant`s is totally a bad place, dishonest, and they`ll take your money for no service at all. Don`t go there if you value your vehicle and your wallet !!
