Awesome Customer service!!!

On my way to run errands at bj`s i noticed my breaks making a squealing noise. I decided no harm no foul in letting the repair shop in bj`s- (which i found out is not run by bjs but the independent company called monro) check my brakes while shopping so i didnt have to sit at a repair shop all day and wait. To my surprise the manager paged me while shopping in bj`s to the back so he could let me know that all i nee... view moreded was an adjustment of my rear brakes. The price was UNBELIEVABLE at 30 bucks! I let them do the repair while i continued to shop and when i finished my shopping the car was ready. While i was inside paying my measly 30 dollars a service technician even offered and did put my groceries in my trunk! I was astounded by the quality service and price. My brakes have not made a noise, my car is running fine and monro now has a lifetime customer! As far as the reviews about selling work not needed I totally did not find that true and accurate. Not only did the manager review what my vehicle needed the manager even offered for me to take it somewhere for a second opinion and said he would honor what another shop said and if more work was needed he would do it at a reduced rate from what the second shop would charge. To me i think this is a sign of a shop that is worthy of the 5 stars as they will stand behind all their estimates and repairs..

Always get a second opinion!

Last week I took my car to Monroe for an oil change. It`s always convenient because I can get my shopping done while they work on my car. When I went to pick up my car I was told that I had a leak in my intake manifold and that if I didn`t get it fixed very soon water would mix with the oil and freeze my engine. I was given a ballpark cost of $700. My father suggested I take my car to his service shop for a... view more second opinion where I was told that my intake manifold is NOT leaking. So I could have been out $700 for a repair I didn`t need. As an aside, I also had tires replaced at Monroe months ago. Shortly thereafter, two of my wheel covers came off while I was driving. I called and was told that the serviceman was certain he tightened the lug nuts and that they weren`t responsible for lost wheel covers after the car has left their parking lot. So I then had to pay almost $100 for new wheel covers. Needless to say, I won`t be returning to Monroe.

Attempted to give me an unnecessary service!

I would be careful going here if you don`t know much about cars. The employee(s) tried to sell me a device that I didn`t need!!! I went in because I thought I needed an alignment. While the service men had my car on the lift, I was told that my car was leaking brake fluid and that the brakes could go out at any minute; and would cost around $300.00. No brakes are no joke to me... but it didn`t seem right. So, I got... view more both a 2nd and 3rd opinion, and there was no brake fluid leaking, but there was a bump in my tire causing it to shake! They never once told me that the bump in the tire was what was causing the car trouble!
