Do not buy a car from this dealer. Before I went off to college two years ago, I went to Rountree with my mom to find a new car for school. I needed a car that was reliable, safe and had great gas mileage. I traded in my grandpa`s old car, a 99 Ford Escort that needed a catalytic converted. The salesmen were very nice to us, promised my mom that they would find a car that fit our needs. Unfortunately at that time I k... view morenew very little about cars and so did my mom. We were shown two cars, a used 2001 Ford Cavalier and a used 2009 Kia Rio. I knew nothing about Kias but at first glance it was small, had good mileage and looked safe enough. The dealer insisted I go with the Kia. He said that it would be reliable and was in our budget. They sold me the car for $13,000. I look back at that now and I don`t think the car could have even been worth that much. We were manipulated into buying this car. Eight months after buying the car it broke down. There was a giant hole in the oil tank. Rountree did not offer to fix this problem but instead sent me straight to Kia. Luckily I was covered by 60,000 Miles and my Kia was at 57,000mi. Close call! Kia was awesome, they fixed the leak, and put in a new timing belt free of charge. Go Kia! This car was serviced regularly and there was no reason it should have been breaking down this often. Whenever I had problems with it I would bring it to a mechanic and they would tell me that Kias were poorly made cars (of course the Rountree failed to mention this). 6 Months later I had to have all three belts and an ignition coil replaced. It`s 2 years later and I need to get a new transmission. There are 71,000 miles on it. I still owe 3 years on the car and Rountree takes no responsibility for putting me in this situation. When I went back to the dealer to complain about the car, they said they would help me trade it in for a new car. Rountree also changed locations last year and are now an hour away from me. After sitting in the dealership for an hour I was told that there was nothing they could do to help me because I didn`t have the credit to purchase a new car. I`m annoyed that Rountree set me up with a car that was bound to fail, took advantage of me, and fails to take any responsibly for what has happened. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Stay away!
