Just had my 2nd transmission rebuilt by these guys. The first one they did about 5 years ago and the transmission still runs great. The second one I got done a couple weeks ago and shifts better than it ever did. I highly recommend you use this AAMCO!!!

Great Service!

Its a shame I see a bad review on here about them. A lot of people I know, and I have brought our cars there for transmissions and other repairs. We have had great experiences using them from friendly service to fair prices. Just recently I had brought my car there because my transmission was slipping (or so I thought). Don`t Go Anywhere Else!!

I have a 1998 Plymouth Voyager that was shifting funky and sometimes wouldn`t shift at all. I brought it into a Chrysler dealer to have it diagnosed. The service manager called me a couple hours later and told me I needed a new transmsision and it would be around $2600. I talked to my husband and we decided to call around for better prices. Dan called us a couple hours after we dropped it off and explained that ALL I needed was a sensor that would cost about $80 and that it would be a good idea to have the transmission flushed. I was ecstatic. When I picked the van up, Dan thanked me for the opportunity to gain my trust and explained they work on almost everything on my van, not just the tranmission. It has been 2 weeks and the transmission shifts great. I will always bring my vehicles to this AAMCO on State St in Schenectady and make everyone I know use them! Thank you for saving me $2400!!!

Run Away! Do it now!

I have spent over $3000.00 at AAMCO over the past two+ years... clutch, head gasket, condenser... well I recently had to take it to the dealership because of a cam shaft position sensor and they found that the the tube seals that seal the spark plug tubes were put on upside down when the head gasket was done; the spark plug tubs were filled with oil. When I stopped in to see if they would own up to this they told me... view more that basically it was too bad - my 90 days were up, it being 4.5 months ago I had the work done. If they made good on the cost to me for the repairs I had to have done it would have been $170 parts and labor. Spend your money someplace else.

Outstanding!

We brougt our daughter`s 1999 Ford Taurus in to AAMCO with what we thaught was a major transmission problem. The customer service was phenominal from beginning to end. It turned out we had a couple bad wires that were causing the transmission to do all sorts of strange things. AAMCO fixed the wires and flushed the transmission fluid and runs like new.
