Reviews:
Ideal Chevy in Avon tried to pull a fast one on my wife and I today.
I talked to Justin on the phoneThursday 1-10-13 about leasing a Chevrolet SUV. We talked about the lease terms, down payment, mileage etc... (24 Month Lease, 15,000 miles per year...)I verified all details with him on the phone at least 3 times and he stated that he was on the same page. He was very prompt with calling me back 3 or 4 times goi... view moreng over the details again. We came to a deal on the phone for $328 per month that I agreed to.
On 1-11-13 my wife and I went to Ideal Chevrolet of AVON NY to seal the deal with the cash down ($2,000) and all the required paper work Justin requested. Justin was not in yet so we waited and started the process with another salesperson. Justin arrived around 10:06am and took over the process with the finance manager. They came back out to us with a higher payment of $399 on the same vehicle we had spoke about the night prior. I questioned this immediately of course and was told that I told him totally different information on the phone and it must have been a bad phone connection that caused this confusion. Of course I verified all the details prior just to avoid this sort of bait and switch type of deal that a 1980`s style auto dealership tries to pull on its potential customers.
To make a somewhat long story short, I left promptly with my wife and will never have one good thing to say about this dealership and its "new management"
To look back on the deal, I should have seen a red flag as the first thing that came out of Justin`s mouth on the phone was "this dealership is under new management" I guess there was a reason he stated this as they have had many issues in the past.
If you are looking for an honest and comfortable dealership to purchase a car from, I would avoid this place like the plague....

Poor service BEWARE!
I would not recommend going to this dealer for anything! They have poor customer service and are very rude. Once you purchase a vehicle you`ll have even more problems. If I could rate a negative number i would give them a -10!

I gave this dealershp a try after finding a coupon for a free NYS inspection in my local paper. While I waited for over an hour and a half for my inspection I observed another customer who was an elderly man with a walker being told by the service rep that some very routine maintenance to the old man`s vehicle would cost a little under $2000.00 plus tax. The rep then advised the old man that he would cut him a deal ... view moreand keep the bill just under $2000.00. It was obvious that the old man was a little confused and to trusting of the service rep. After I waited an hour and a half I asked the service rep how much longer my inspection would take. The rep then told me that they were going to half to rplace my front break pads and rotors and also inspect and clean my rear breaks befor passing my vehicle for inspection. I have a newer vehicle and I have agood knowledge of vehicle mechanics. I knew that there was nothing wrong with my breaks and that this place was just trying to get me to pay for an unnecessary service. I politely refued the service and asked for my keys back. The "smooth talking" service rep then advised me that they had already scraped off my old inspection sticker in an attempt to convince me that I`d better just let them do the service and continue with their inspection so I wouldn`t later get a ticket for an ninspected motor vehicle. Iadvised the service rep to get my keys so Icould be on my way. I was then made to wait another 15 min for my keys. I will never go back there. I buy a new vehicle every year in cash and these flim flammers will never get my business.
Later the same day I took the same vehicle to a different establishment who advised me that there was nothing wrong with my breaks and passed my vehicle for the NYS inspection no prob.

Liars
They greet you when you come in. Show you a price and finance another with the finance company. Basically they charge you what you put down as financed. Then if you refer a friend they don`t even send you a gift or thank you card. Don`t buy from them unless you wanna lose money.
