Don`t go here for service!
Don`t go there for service! I wheeled my Kawi there for a tire replacement after getting stuck with a flat in Manhattan, and got it back, with the new tire, but also with a completely destroyed rear-view mirror - looks like they smashed it from the top - I cannot imagine what they did to it - and who knows what other damage has been done. They are NOT to be trusted with your bike. There was also a loose wire near the... view more mirror that I asked them about - the mechanic couldn`t even tell me what the wires was for! He just stuck it back in and said, ""there, now it`s okay"". Insane.

The worst
My friend bought a new bike from them with an extended warranty only to find out years later when she needed it, after she moved to the west coast, that she did not really have an extended warranty with Suzuki. After a lot of arguing, they claimed that it was an extended warranty with Camrod only. While I have had my differences with Cycle Therapy, as well, I think they are great compared with Camrod.

Customer service below par
It was my first time buying and shopping for a bike and accesories.
They did not even really take notice of me in the accessories department. When I finally figured out which two helmets I wanted to do a price as well as quality comparison on, the guy at the counter seemed to not really care. He told me the helmet I wanted was out of stock and that was that. When I asked when they were expecting new stock if ever,... view more he just shrugged his shoulders, turned around, and said he didn`t know. I still did go on to their website and the helmet was available. After I ordered it I was expecting a call back from them to confirm my order. I never got it, so finally when I did call they told me the helmet would come in by Monday. In all fairness, if I had not read these other negative reviews, I might have considered going back. Now I am not so sure. . .

Awful
If you want your bike taken apart and put back together with stripped bolts, which aren`t even the right size...if you want your engine block cracked, if you want your bike to break down, then go to Camrod.
The mechanics that work there, and their supervisor are some of the stupidest people I`ve ever met...combine that with the lies that they tell, and you have a recipe for disaster.
don`t make the same mistake... view more i made. I will be filing a suit against them in the near future and will also be reporting them to NYS and push to have their license revoked.

The WORST - Run Away
I had gone to Camrod for years. They have always been less than great, but they seemed better than the rip-off artists at Cycle Therapy...
Anyway, I brought my bike in for a standard tune-up. Over the course of 5 months (the bike was in and out of their shop that entire time), they proceeded to break the air filter cover assembly, break numerous rings...and the final straw: REASSEMBLE MY CARB WHILE LEAVING O... view moreUT SEVERAL PINS! I broke down on the FDR and nearly got hit by a car trying to get to an off ramp. How do I know they did this? I took it to another mechanic who pulled out the diagram and showed me exactly what was missing.
They took no responsibility for anything. Even when presented with problems they created that are easy for a lay person to see (removing and not re-securing the fuel line and leaving it to burn on the engine, physically breaking and stripping various bolts, brackets, etc), they try to lie and say things like ""you don`t need that"", ""it`s fine"" or Pedro`s favorite trick...the old condescending look of exasperation. They are all idiots over there. RUN THE OTHER WAY.

The worst
I took my new Yamaha 600cc for my first service, at about a little over 600 miles, just the regular thing, change oil, etc, etc.
Before going in, I looked at my oil, through the glass little window and touching it with the oil stick, it clean smelling and clear, great, right!
When I picked my bike up a couple of days later, and I checked on the oil, it was DARK and DIRTY!!
WTF!! Did these bastards poured use... view mored up oil on my new motorcycle, NEVER AGAIN!!
The truth being most motorcycle mechanics in NY City are ripoff artist and the Israelis the worst!!

Great experience
I`m happy to say that I had a great experience buying my first bike at Camrod. The salesman was very helpful and not pushy at all. He took me around to meet the manager in the accessories department who helped me select a helmet and a jacket (which had to be ordered--they need more women`s stuff!) The selection of helmets, gloves and jackets was great and I plan to go back to have Lo Jack installed on my bike.

Incompetent and expensive
I could not imagine a worse place to bring your bike for service. The service manager is a condescending idiot, supervising a staff of mechanics who I wouldn`t trust with a lawn mower. I had to return the bike twice - being without it for about a month over the period of six months. They refused to acknowledge their mistakes, making it worse the second time, and ultimately leaving me with a bike that overheats and co... view morentinues to make engine and brake noise. (yes - it`s me) Insult to injury was their blaming me for the continued issues, making absurd diagnoses, and just plane rude and unprofessional behavior. Their reputation has never been great - but I went there as they are the only Honda Certified shop in Manhattan - and I only needed a clutch, tune, and fork oil replacement - not rocket science. I simply do not have the time/energy to take them to small claims court. Hands down the worst service I`ve had in my life.
