I went in for an inspection. Initially they told me I may need a bearing in order to pass inspection. I told them do whatever it takes. They look into it further and found it was an upper control arm that was loose. They told me that it passes inspection.they could have charged me anything and I would have paid it. They didn`t even charge me for the inspection. I will be their customer forever.

kept money

bought new car $36,000 refered by a friend and bought on internet. My friend was to receive $100.00 bird dog and I was to receive $100.00 internet bird dog. Never received and talked to many people who made many excuses. They have lost many customers because of this.

disappointing service

This was my first ""solo"" experience with a dealer. I let them talk me into their ""best"" extended warranty sold at ""employee pricing"" for my two year old used van. I figured it would not be a bad idea to pay for the warranty - it was such a good one according to them, after all. and would protect me from expensive repairs. We had used Basil in the past for a used vehicle purchase and were so impressed, especi... view moreally with all that was covered by the warranty we bought then, that until this purchase I always contacted Basil first when purchasing a car. Not anymore. This warranty covers nothing that actually happens to the car (pitted rotors, understandable, but $700 to replace; leaking power steering box, not understandable, $826) Lucky I bought that warranty! Since the steering box was replaced the steering wheel tilts to the right when I`m driving straight. Still waiting for a return phone call from the service manager about that. The manager also sounded annoyed with me when I wanted to check for myself whether something was covered by the warranty. Oh! And I was told the van needed upper ball joints, but since those also were not covered by the warranty (surprise!) I decided not to have it done. Miraculously, when I brought it in several months later for what turned out to be a power steering box, the upper ball joints were fine. Guess they got better on their own. And the service manager was annoyed with me when I double-checked with the warranty company about whether the ball joints were covered. Sorry, didn`t mean to be such a nuisance. I will never buy a car from Basil Ford again. Minus two stars.
