Ma`am, I am truly sorry to hear about that. I was also recently went there with my mom and bought a 09 rav 4. They told me that the car was worth 26,000 dollars and my mom said OK and signed the paper work for it. Well as my job within six months cut back my hours in half I went to a dealership to see if I could trade it in and I was told not that the value of the car was only worth $11,500 and they don`t see how... view more Barry Auto Center could get a loan for that much with 56,000 miles being on the car when it was bought. The dealership state and I quote" too much negative equity" and that if they could do a trade with an affordable payment that its not possible. that my payment would go from 433 a month to 650 to 700 a month!! That is a horrible way to work a business!

If I could rate them worse than one star, I would. My aunt purchased a vehicle from there a few months back and was under the impression that it was a new car. She has undiagnosed Alzheimer`s but it`s clearly evident if you spent 15 minutes speaking with her. She had been buying cars for years from this location back when they were Barry Dodge. I don`t think she had realized that they only sell used cars now. I recen... view moretly found out that they sold her a used van for $38,000. I did some research and similar models in the area are selling for around $24,000. They took full advantage of her trusting nature and her disease and over charged her by $14,000. After purchasing the vehicle, and not taking a test drive, she was driving through the village of Brockport when she noticed that it had 31,000 miles on it. She went back and spoke with the owner about the mileage and he said you signed for it and that it was hers now. Now she has a vehicle that she cannot afford because she is on a fixed income and they will not do anything about it. I went to speak with the manager to see if there was anything he would do and he said to me that, "I can sell a car for whatever I want, and I`m in this business to make money." We will be taking legal action against Barry`s Auto Center. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I am so disgusted that a business owner could knowingly take advantage of an elderly woman like that.

I`ve gone to Barry`s Auto Cent...

I`ve gone to Barry`s Auto Center numerous times over the years and I don`t have any complaints. The service and the people are very friendly and give you great options weather you need work on your car or want to buy a used car.
