I had my 2004 Ford Focus towed...

I had my 2004 Ford Focus towed to Old Time Auto back in March of 2011. My car broke down on the Newburgh Beacon Bridge due to a failed alternator. Because it was a Sunday, and Old Time happened to be open, it was towed to them. The owner put in a new alternator WITHOUT consulting with me first. I was called, told the car was ready, and billed over $500.00. When I questioned why he put a new part in such an old ca... view morer with almost 100,000 miles on it, without calling me and giving me any options, he told me it was because a new part carried a longer warranty. Low and Behold, two weeks ago the alternator died, ONE WEEK beyond the 90 day warranty. Not only do I now have a vehicle that won`t run, I had to pay $150.00 to get towed back to town - none of which the owner was willing to negotiate on. THEY WILL NEVER TOUCH A VEHICLE OF MINE AGAIN, and I HIGHLY recommend NOT bringing your car to their shop, even if they are the only place in business on a Sunday.
