Reviews:
When I arrived and explained to the service writer that I had a 9:00 appointment to have 2 snow tires installed he seemed confused as if an appointment was never made.
He stated that the cofusion was because the ... view moretires were in stock and there was no order placed for them. This made no sense to me but I pressed on. He then stated that the stud gun was in their Johnstown store and I would have to wait a while. When pressed for the meaning of a while, he said 1.5 hours.
Around 10:15 the car was brought into the shop. After 45 minutes elapsed I looked in the window of the garage to find all 4 tires off of my vehicle on the floor of the garage in bags. I then asked if they were installing just 2 tires. His look of constenation told me that the answer was 4.
He stated it would be a while longer to remount the old tires and put them back on the rear. (I Wondering who puts studed tires on the non drive wheels, but did not ask, thinking it was better to leave well enough alone). I simply said ""please put the 2 best tires on the rear and put the other 2 in the trunk"".
Finally around noon the car was done and I paid the bill with a credit card and left. Upon arriving home I found a charge on the bill for a disposal fee for tires I did not dispose of.
My wife called questioning the charge, they stated I would have to go back to issue a credit to my card. My wife told the service writer we would not be back when we departed. I Guess she was wrong. But after the credit is issued it will be the last time going into this dealership for anything......
2 to 3 days later I noticed something wrong with the car. Many time things were not under warentee.
For example engine service light would come on.
Or terrable smell as if burning flesh. Or Alignment was off. excetra.
When I stopped bring car in to the shop, and had the last repair done by a local unafiliated with ford shop.
I have driven for ov... view moreer 70,000 miles with no more mayor problem.
I will never buy a tricycle from Browns ford ever again.
