Stop Looking...Go right to Bobs!!!!!!

I had recently bought a 97 suburban, I have 6 children, my wife and I make 8 in my family.Before I found Bobs,We had to bring the truck to a repair shop for brakes.It was hit or miss if you got a good mechanic:I missed and this other mechanic took me for a ride.It started with brake`s,changed front rotor`s,back drum`s,new pad`s,idler and pitman arm.Ok, now it`s up to $1700.00. Brake`s were vibrating every time I step... view more on the pedal. I brought the truck back. He told me that auto parts store gave him bad drums so he changed the drums. I pick the truck up drove down the block and there was the same vibrating noise so I called him and told him that the problem was still there,he told me he was closing the shop to bring back on Monday.I was not happy, but you don`t have to much of a choice right!So monday morning I brought the truck back again. he said leave it here I call you when it`s done, 3:00 pm get a phone call from the mechanic to tell me that the brake`s were fixed,but you have a water leak in your engine,it`s called intake manifold gasket, and it needed to be changed.HOW MUCH IS IT TOFIX?He told me about $655.00,I almost had a stroke.Here we go round #3 leave the car here.I will call you when it`s done. Two day`s later calls me he say`s that the truck is not running right.So I went to the shop,it did`nt sound good at all. I told him it`s sounds like there`s something in the engine.He said it`s timing was off. 4 hour`s later still not running right. I told him i`m going home,I was tired,I just came out of shoulder surgery2 wks ago,and I`m on compensation. Came back the next day they had to take the engine apart to find out what went wrong. While sitting in the car charging my phone I over heard them talking that they found a intake manifold bolt in the engine and that they where not going to tell me about it. Instead they were going to tell me that antifreeze got into the engine and I was to blame.a I could not believe I herd this.I got out of my truck and told them you got too be kidding me. This the way you conduct business? I had to leave, my blood pressure was to the roof and told them that I want this truck fixed and left.I get a call 1 week later and told me it was fixed,my wife dropped me at the shop,I go to talk to him and he tell`s me that I have to give him $1200.00 for the work. I told him you are at fault for the damages not me. He would not release the truck to me and told me to call the police. And I did. They told me that I had too pay or the mechanic was going charge me for storage until I paid. Once again I don`t have a choice, and I did`nt have the money. I called my brother and he gave me the money, so I could leave with my truck. Now I am taking this truck that didn`t run right, it`s banging, knocking, the brake`s were not fixed either. IT WAS GOING TO COST ME $4500.00 to rebuild the motor. Previously, this truck was owned by a doctor, who was the original owner. I have a stack of receipts in a folder that he gave me of every repair, maintenance and oil change this man ever did. The body of the truck is mint, perfect, garage kept.I look around for another mechanic and found BOB`S AUTO AND VAN REPAIRS INC. Yes, his name is Bob and his wife works there also. She is a sweetheart. Because I couldn`t afford to fix the truck, I had to buy another truck for $1,500,00. It was cheaper. BOB looked over my truck and told me I needed shocks, checked the truck from bumper to bumper. Did the inspection and replaced a needed heater hose. CAN`T SAY IT ENOUGH TO THANK YOU BOB AND YOUR WIFE FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING. I DO MISS THE 70`s&80`s. EVERYTHING WAS A HAND SHAKE & A PROMISE. THAT"S WHY I RESPECT BOB`S AUTO &VAN REPAIRS ON RT 112 IN MEDFORD N,Y 11763. HE STILL DOES IT OLD SCHOOL, ON A HAND SHAKE AND A PROMISE! HAPPY NEW YEAR. FROM THE FERNANDEZ FAMILY !!!!!!! By the way, I brought that first mechanic to small claims court, AND I WON! STICK THAT IN YOUR TOOL BOX!!
