STAY AWAY!!!
This is a terrible place. Travis Emery was the least helpful, most dishonest salesman I have ever dealt with. On top of that, when I complained to the sales manager he basically shrugged me off and would not let me deal with another salesman. Travis proceeded to offer me so much under bluebook value for my car that I was insulted. When I went to Audi of Oneonta it was like a breath of fresh air. I was offered LITTERA... view moreLY $7000 more for my trade in!!! After making a deal I ordered a brand new 2012 S5 directly from Germany. I am very happy with it but vowed to let as many people know about Langan as possible. They take advantage of the fact that there is no other dealer for a couple of hundred miles. Its worth the trip to Oneonta for sure.

Dishonest
I`ve bought 4 Audis from this dealer over the past 10 years. My early experiences were great, and I`ve loved all my earlier A4s, my A6 Allroad, and my TT Roadster.
Since Mr. Langan died, this dealer has gone to crap. The sales staff (there appears to have been major turnover over the past few years) has outright lied to me on multiple occasions.
For instance, I had to have Audi of America (AOA) intervene ... view moreafter Langan tried to
outfit the certified pre-owned vehicle I purchased in November 2010 (a 2007 Q7) with off-brand Nexen tires and the sales person falsely represented that the tires were approved by AOA for use on certified vehicles. AOA informed me that this was untrue and required Langan to equip the vehicle properly. The sales person then tried to explain that Nexen tires were installed because the dealer would have to order Audi-approved tires (Goodyears, etc) and that would have delayed delivery of the vehicle by at least a week. In retrospect, I should have walked at that point, as it is always a bad sign when you catch an auto salesman in an outright lie.
Tellingly, even the AOA custom service representative I dealt with (who indicated that she had grown up nearby in Schenectady, NY) told me that she had heard numerous complaints about Langan. She suggested that I travel to Flynn Audi in Pittsfield, Mass.
In fairness, AOA was very helpful in resolving the issue with the tires. My experiences with another Langan-owned dealer (Cap Cities VW/BMW) also have been stellar. I`m told that the two dealerships are under completely different management, and only loosely affiliated.
My CPO Q7 has been an unmitigated disaster. The fuel system now has failed four (4) times in less than six months It failed a third time as I drove it out of Langan`s driveway, after it supposedly had been fixed for the second time. Now it has failed a fourth time.
This time, the Q7`s fuel injection failed 2+ hours away, in Old Forge, NY. Audi`s Roadside assistance left my wife stranded in a non-functional car in a dark parking lot for more than four hours while it dispatched a flatbed from Albany. Why a flatbed couldnot be found in Utica remains a mystery.
Update: I have tried to work out a fair arrangement with Langan to have it take the car back.. Langan`s response was that it would purchase the car at wholesale cost, so that I would lose all of my equity in the vehicle after making a substantial downpayment and 11 monthly payments on the vehicle. I have been back in touch with AOA, and had remained hopeful of reaching a fair settlement without resorting to legal recourse.
Today, after AOA assured me that I would not prejudice my rights were I to pick up the supposedly repaired vehicle (so as to avoid the costs of renting a vehicle yet again), Langan informed me that I would have to pay an $85 deductible for the latest repair to the same fuel system that supposedly had been repaired on three earlier occassions (an for which I paid no deductible). This is just unacceptable.
Steer clear of this dealer. You are going to be dealing with stereotypical used car salespersons. You shouldn`t trust a word.
