I bought a car with my fiance ...
I bought a car with my fiance over two years ago. I also bought the extended warranty. Although, they put the wrong VIN number on the contract and made it void. Although, I was still charged for the warranty through Auction Direct. I had car problems this past week and only now did I find out that the contract was void. No one at Auction Direct even told me! Also, when I questioned them about it, they didn`t do a thi... view moreng to help! I finally got to a manager, he said he was sorry and would try to help. I don`t have a car for the time being and he said they would give me a car and re-instate the warranty as of Monday morning. COME TO FIND OUT, that manager isn`t even in until 2pm on Monday and his other managers told me that is wasn`t even possible for it to be reinstated until they found out where the money is and I need to come in and sign everything! (LIARS) He gives me a car for the time being, tells me I need to have it back BEFORE my car is even fixed and it was dirty and only had 1/4 tank of gas! (i feel like this is the twlight zone of customer service, just awful) His other managers say that he shouldn`t have promised me it could be reinstated because he isn`t sure if it can be at all!!! Meanwhile, my car cannot be fixed until we know if I even have a warranty or not. THIS IS THE WORST!!!

Editorial review from Citysearch
If I could rate this piece of crap place without any stars, I would. My husband and I were looking for an `08 Infiniti and found a decent price for one online. Went in to test drive it and the car wouldn`t start!! That should`ve been a red flag. They said it was the battery but we set off the alarm by accident so clearly the battery worked. We found a much better deal elsewhere so decided to trade his car in. They do... view moren`t tell you they take that infamous $399 out of your pocket for the trade! Rude, unproffessional, time consuming, and really terrible cars. Please take my advice and run while you can. Don`t make the same mistake we did.

GREAT EXPIERIENCE!!!!!!
I JUST PURCHASED A 2008 SILVERADO FRM AUCTION DIRECT, WHICH IS MY SECOND CAR BOUGHT FROM HERE, AND I HAVE TO SAY THAT MY EXPIERIENCE WITH THEM HAS BEEN AWESOME. MY SALES GUY WAS DAVID H.& NICK K. AND HE WAS AMAZING. WORKING WITH HIM WAS LIKE DEALING WITH ONE OF MY FRIENDS. BOTH GUYS AND THE FINANCE STAFF DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO MAKE SURE I WALKED OUT OF THERE WITH THE CAR I WANTED AND THE RATE AND FINANCE LOAN ... view moreTHAT WOULD SUIT MY NEEDS. I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS AUCTION DIRECT, THEY EVEN STAYED 1 1/2 HOURS AFTER CLOSE TO FINSH THE PROCESS AND HAVE ME WALK OUT WITH MY NEW TRUCK . I DEFINITLY PLAN TOPURCHASE ALL MY CARS FROM AUCTION DIRECT, AND IF YOU WANT A GREAT EXPIERIENCE GO SEE DAVID H. HE WAS A GREAT SALES REP. PS I LOVE MY TRUCK!!!

Best Place to by a car
So far this year, 2011, we have purchased two cars from Auction Direct in Victor. Our next car will also be purchased here.
See Corey McGhan.

Good Experience with Ivan
I saw a 2010 Ford Fusion advertised on carscom at Auction Direct. I went there to see it and drive it. I liked my experience. I worked with Ivan. He was knowledgeable and didn`t put pressure on me to buy. I noticed a crack on the front lower spoiler and brought it to his attention. He introduced me to Greg who said it would be professionally taken care of; and it was. They got me a lower interest rate than my own cre... view moredit union could do. I would recommend seeing Ivan at Auction Direct.

Different
Even though they did ask me to write this review, I can honestly say that this is the one of the best experiences I have ever had.
Not only were the cars beautiful and more than fairly priced, it was the people that made the place special. They were incredible and did everything top notch!
I will buy all my cars there from now on.

""You`re a grown woman .... ""
During an extremely busy week at work my old car`s transmission went. Great. I went to Auction Direct & met with Sam. I wasn`t a fan of the setup with the ""check in"" and everyone yelling ... way too showy, but whatever I figured I`d see what came of it. I told them my parameters & had seen a Jeep in Buffalo I was very interested. Sam knew I was in a crunch, but I had made it clear I was willing to wait & by no mean... view mores was he guaranteed a sale because of the time issue. We test drove a tan Jeep they had at the dealership & told me it`d be no problem to ship it. I got $600 for my trade in ... I was looking for the $1400 I owed on the car - but I figured eh, I`ll live.
Tuesday rolled around I`d brought my Dad with me to sign the paperwork. I`m 22 - this is a HUGE deal & I felt comfortable enough with Sam that I thought this is the right thing for me. When I called Sam he told me - ""no need to bring your Dad, you`re a grown woman."" Personally, if I wanted to bring my cactus I could, it`s my decision & are you trying to hide something? I scoffed it off. 6:00 comes up & we start looking at the paperwork [ which wasn`t complete, wait another 25 minutes .... ] okay! Here is the paperwork, sign on the dotted line ... oh wait, I wanted to test drive it. ""Oh .. uh, um, okay, uh - hold on."" From here on out it got REALLY frustrating. I test drove it, it was great. I asked to use the key that was in better shape & Sam said ... okay, put the used one in the ignition - I didn`t think of it again until I went to use the other and ohhhh it`s not programmed. An easy fix? Never. ""You`ll have to pay for that. The car comes with one programmed key."" Whatttt? Still not programmed. Then 2 days after the buy - I`m driving home at 7 and car breaks down. After a few tears & choice words, some serious convincing that I`ll need a loaner [ I`m 22, what do you expect ] they decide to send out a tow truck. 1.5 later ... they gave him the wrong directions. I FINALLY get there and ... I hear them complaining about me. Great. I tell the guy ""I`m sorry if I was rude, it`s 2 days old for me."" Oh it`s okay ""I know you need someone to blame"".
After a faulty transmission, 3 trips to the service center, 3 tow truck rides, 2 disgustingly dirty rentals, a trip to my lawyers & some heated conversations FINALLY they fix it. Now? The headlight is shorting out. Not a big deal - except they can`t just fix it. They diagnose & then schedule to fix. And they`re scheduled out 3 weeks. Then this morning, perform service light comes on.
Apparently, the sale is what matters. Unless you`re willing to stand behind your promises of prompt & efficient service ... don`t preach it. It`s $22,000 that I wish I NEVER gave them.
Ps. Although I`m EXTREMELY disappointed - I do like the service department. Christina has taken some phone calls from me that I wish I`d calmed down a bit - and she handled them VERY well & remained friendly.

What A Joke!
We went to Auction Direct because they had the car we wanted. It was reasonably priced at $19,200. We were ready to buy it and commit to the payments but first wanted to review a breakdown of the total cost. He kept emphasizing the monthly payments as means to avoid the question until we insisted he show us the breakdown. I guess we shouldn`t have been shocked when the total price with all their fees - including ... view morecharges for items that would be included elsewhere such as washing and cleaning, document fees, and other unknown fees - came out to almost $25,500!!! Over $6,000 more than the price on the sticker!! Obviously you pay tax and title so we were expecting around $2,000 but $6,000!! That is absolutely ridiculous!
They seem to use a ""beat around the bush"" sales tactic. Instead of answering our questions they gave us vague answers that only kind of answered the questions we were asking. This happened several times while we were there: when we asked for pricing breakdown, when we asked what kind of financing rates they were offering we got ""our rates are very competitive with local banks,"" and in the end when we decided we wanted our deposit back they conveniently couldn?t find the women who had to write us the check (we put cash down, why couldn?t they just give us cash back??)
You should also be aware that the prices on the cars are not the actual price because it does not include the commission they make off the vehicle which in our case was an additional $400. Ohhh wait they don?t work on commission ? not completely true!! Even though they don?t get a percentage of what they sell, they still make money off the sale which leads right into my final point?¦Their no pressure sales pitch?¦ it seemed that way at first but once we put down our deposit it was nothing but intense pressure to get us in the door to sign the papers.
After successfully dodging their sneaky tactics we found a similar vehicle at a dealership that was straightforward with their pricing, financing, and breakdown of total cost.

cobalt on recall
Auction Direct of Victor,NY sold my girlfriend a 2009 chevy cobalt in May 2010. There was a recall on the car but the work was never done at Auction Direct. They knew about the recall but never mentioned it at all. By chance I asked my local chevy dealer if there was any recalls outstanding and the informed me that the steering motor HAD to be replaced ASAP--they did it at no charge to her. This car was a rental and... view more they to did not fix the recall. They also told her the Fob wasn`t working because of bad batteries-like fools we believed auction direct and came home with a car with a Fob that did not work and had to be REPLACED at a cost of $225.00. So new buyers BEWARE of AUCTION DIRECT sneaky practices and their excess pressure they put on customers to BUY their warranty products.

No glowing testimonial from me!
Salesperson nice, but job knowledge woefully inadequate. Sloppy, rinky-dink process. Poor communications. No apologies for errors or missteps, just attitude. Person preparing contract `forgot` substantial deposit when determining figures and thought it hilarious that I caught it. Good car, but not worth the aggro. Also, had brought along relative, who tried their `ordering` process - only to have their `locator... view more` offer precisely what he had been told was NOT wanted.
