After reading the other reviews, clearly Azria`s gets mixed reviews. That said, all I can say is that my own experience has been consistently excellent, and over a period of more than two decades, No question that Mr. Azria et al have saved me thousands and thousands over the years in repair bills. They have managed to make affordable keeping several 12+ year-old clunker cars on the road, both domestic and J... view moreapanese. Two negative things: Once, probably 10 years ago, Azria`s misplaced the car key I left with them. And, once, at the beginning of racing season, maybe 8 years ago, some involved engine repairs took several days longer than originally predicted. For the past 5 years, though, Azria`s has been consistently on time and very often ""under budget"". AFAIK, he`s an honest mechanic, and good guy. He`s a man of few words, but if he doesn`t know what`s wrong with your car, he`ll say so. He`ll even go for a diagnostic spin around the block with you to help figure it out. He`ll take on work that other shops avoid. As far as I`m concerned, Azria`s is my CNY repair shop of choice.

Wort Mechanic EVER-How the hell is he still in business?

I had the worst experience with this mechanic. Perhaps it is just me. I was patient, nice and all but he took advantage of me. He kept telling me he wasn`t sure what was wrong and asking me more money (1000$...). I brought the car to another (more reliable) mechanic and the new mechanic was outraged that I had all these repairs done because he told me I should TRASH the car and it was not worth it. He literally told ... view moreme: ""If I wanted to make a buck, I could make some repairs here and there but there is NO WAY that this car passes safety inspection unless you spend another 2000$ on it"". He was worried that Azria`s was willing to pass the car on issues that were totally dangerous (he looked at the paper work and saw that many thing weren`t flaged at the inspection). His impression was that they didn`t flag all that was wrong with it because if they did, I would have trash the car before I put 1000$ on it and then trashed it. It is a good lesson for me because I had sympathy for the old man who has a family owned business and all.... NEVER MORE, he took advantage and I am reporting him to the BBB anyway. Good luck if you ever do repairs there... If I were you, I wouldn`t .
