Be Prepared

A word of warning if you plan on using Erichsens Auto Service, they want cash or cc only. Unfortunately they feel it isnt neccesary to tell the customer that first until you come back to get your vehicle and while I am writing out a check, they tell me to go down the street to an ATM for cash!. Not very friendly about the whole situation. Also took a full day of car sitting around for parts to be ordered. No one cal... view moreled us to give estimate, we had to go back to them and ask for it....then the parts were ordered (at a high end price I will add). Not much I couldve done in our situation, but hopefully it will save someone else any grief.

Bad, Waste of money, Beware

My truck gave me fault codes 171 174.(got the codes free from autozone) I dropped it off and told them the codes and asked if they could look at my truck. i come back the next day and notice my truck hasn`t moved from the parking spot (my first red flag). They told me the same fault codes i told them and that they would have to change the O2 sensor to start with and then go from there. (to start with?? thats my secon... view mored red flag) So i ask how do you know its the O2 sensors did you test them?? They say because thats what those fault codes usually indicate is bad and estimated $300 for parts/labor. (Wrong! you don`t just change sensors because you think they usually go bad). I was charged $40 for them to put a code reader on my truck and tell me the same codes i told them coming in there. I got my truck out of there as quick as possible. Either they deliberately tried to cheat me or their technicians are a bunch of part swappers at my expense. My O2 sensors were good I had a bad PCV valve.
