Paid Promar $2899 for a rebuil...

Paid Promar $2899 for a rebuilt Long-Block for a 2002 Jeep. $1500 more then a used engine but I was told this was a 150K mile engine, it would outlive the car, came with warranty etc. etc. Ran well, no lights...no problem. serviced at the Jeep Dealer per schedule, never towed anything, all highway driving. 39K miles, engine blows up on start. Called Promar, "engine`s out of warranty." Nothing. 3 years... view more and 7 months. 39K miles? really? Refused to accept any responsibility for defective engine. They tried desperately to blame us and even demanded the Jeep Dealer show them heat strips to prove that we overheated the motor. Nope, we didn`t. Didn`t matter, they were just looking for excuses. (PS read the warranty carefully, it is useless unless you want to ship the engine back to Promar and wait for them to repair it) Still refuse to accept any responsibility for their defective engine. When Dave Lohsen started referring to my wife as "sweetie" it was clear we were done. RUN DON`T WALK. These are not people you want to do business with.
