Reviews:
Fraud! Horrifying Experience! DeSimone Mitsubishi
I received a coupon from DeSimone for a free oil change and state/emission inspection. This was my first time with this dealership. The Service Manager, John, was extremely rude from the beginning. Later, Oleg, the mechanic asked me to go into the shop to help him find the wheel lock keys. He asked me to stay there while he checked my brakes. He took off one rear wheel and immediately said that my car is not passing ... view morethe state inspection because the rear brakes need to be replaced. But there was plenty of brake pad left there ?ˆ“ this was obvious.
When I said so, Oleg rudely demanded that I go with him to John, the service manager. John started practically screaming at me that Oleg is a certified state inspector and I am obligated to do what Oleg tells me. If I refuse to change the brakes John would call the State Police on me. I complained to the Gene DeSimone who refused to get personally involved and asked Michael ?Ross to resolve the issue. John followed up with apologies and the situation seemed to be reasonably resolved.
They put the emission sticker on the car but not the state inspection sticker. They specified on the receipt that the rear brakes were 1/32 an 2/32. That did not pass inspection. They suggested that I replace the brakes and they would put the inspection sticker on the car then. I took the car to another Mitsubishi dealership to change the brakes. But this dealership refused to change the brakes because they found that the rear brakes had 6/32 left on both wheels, thus passing inspection and having plenty of meat left on the pads to drive for quite a while longer.
I called DeSimone Mitsubishi to inform them about this. Gene DeSimone very rudely refused talking with me - he demanded that I speak to Michael Ross instead. Michael was very pleasant during my visit to the dealership but this time over the phone he showed his ugly face. He talked over me not allowing me to talk and hang up on me. DeSimone Mitsubishi committed fraud by lying about the results of the state inspection. As a result, I wasted a lot time unnecessarily and will have to repeat the state inspection at another shop. What did DeSimone achieve from this fraudulent behavior? Remember, I did not pay a penny for their service. Good question, is it not?
I am very sorry that I did not check for dealership reviews before going there and did not see all the terrible feedback before going to DeSimone Mitsubishi. Never again!
Run from this terrible place! Run!... Run!...
