TERRIBLE
I found them online and went in to look at a Mercedes c240 that was described as "in excellent condition". When I got there, the owner told me that getting that car would be a mistake and pointed out a more expensive audi. He told me that even though it had ALOT more miles, it didn`t matter because after 70,000 it`s all the same (I should have left right then and there) I told him I didn`t like the Audi and... view more he still kept trying to sell it to me. After a while, he showed me a 2004 Acura Tl that had 74,000 miles with built in nav. It was a sharp looking car and I was very interested. When we were discussing the price he wanted about $13000 for it, but said he`d go down to $12500. In order to prove to us that it was a "great deal" he went on autotrader.com and searched for a 2005 Acura Tl. The prices were similar, but I pointed out to him that he was looking at 2005 when the Acura we were looking at was 2004. He completely disregarded what I said and kept saying how great of a deal it was. I was trading in my car as part of the deal. It was a 2002 Mercedes c230 Kompressor which is worth about $6,000 on kbb. He offered to give me $5500, which isn`t bad. So the net price I had to pay was $7000. When he first calculated all of the taxes and fees, he said it would be $648 on top of the $7000. I was about to put down my nonrefundable deposit of $648 when he informed me that it was actually $671. I still put down the payment and he told me to come back to finalize the purchase on Monday (it was Saturday). On Monday, I went to the dealer with my car and the rest of the payment (which I had to go get a bank check for). When I got there he asked if he could drive my car. I was a little suspicious seeing that he should have done that before we made the deal. He came back 10 minutes later saying that my engine sounded like it was going to blow (it was not I just had it at my mechanic a few days before). He told me that he couldn`t give me the amount he originally told me for my car. It was quite obvious he was trying to get more money out of me. Luckily, I was smart enough to walk out of there. Reading the other reviews, I am glad I didn`t get that car because it would have caused me a lot of trouble! Still, being that I live 2 hours away, it was a huge waste of time and money. What he did was EXTREMELY unprofessional and someone like that should not be allowed to continue to screw others over! Please take my warning and do not waste your time here!
