Reviews:

Guru Auto in Easton is an awful dealership that will say and do anything to get the sale. I bought a Honda Civic from them 1 year ago. It was my first experience buying a used car, so I didn?ˆ™t know what to expect, and I needed a car ASAP at that point. When I went in, they kept telling me about how it was such a great deal for this car and how it wouldn?ˆ™t last much longer with their current ?ˆ?discounted pricing.?ˆ? I we... view morent through the process to purchase the car and was told that it had just passed the state inspection and emissions test the previous week and was all set to go. My fatal flaw was taking their word for it and trusting them to sell me a quality car that had passed inspection. Obviously, they paid off whoever did the inspection because there?ˆ™s no way it could have passed in that condition. In the year since purchasing the car, I have only put about 4,000 miles on the car (now at 115,000 miles), yet the power locks suddenly stopped working, the immobilizer system broke, and the tires have needed replaced because they were mysteriously dry rotted and had no tread despite being brand new tires when I test drove the vehicle. In addition, the battery needed replaced because there was an after-market alarm on the car that drained the battery, the rear brake shoes needed replaced, and I had to replace the timing belt, the water pump, the power steering belt, and the a/c and alternator belt?ˆ¦ plus the radio and clock mysteriously died. Oh?ˆ¦ and the driver?ˆ™s seat had to be bolted back to the car because it was ready to come off, which likely would have caused a horrendous accident. You?ˆ™d be far better off going elsewhere because Guru has abysmal customer service, and it sells junk cars. In total, I have now spent about $2,600 in repairs in the past year.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM GURU! They lie and tell you they will take care of a problem and never will. You will have to take them to court to get resolution. IF YOU BUY A CAR FROM GURU YOU WILL BE SORRY! I WOULD NEVER GIVE THEM A STAR RATING BUT YOU HAVE TO TO COMMENT. GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP THEY ARE THE WORST!

Shady Liars! Warning! Do not buy a car here. I wish I had checked reviews on-line BEFORE I went to Guru Auto World. If you`re reading this, be sure to read reviews on other sites also. Do your research. This company has ripped off and manipulated too many people to deserve any business. I suspect some of the good reviews were written by Guru by the way they sound. Follow your instincts. I should have followed ... view moremy gut when I walked in there and started dealing with the phonies, but I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt; until it was too late! I agreed on a car during the daytime, when I came back to purchase it the next night, their tone and attitude had totally changed. Well, they had my deposit ($500!) and wouldn`t give it back. I took the car home (wish I read the other reviewers warning about their fees) and the next morning I noticed there were different tires on the car!!! When I left my deposit they were newer, dark black with deep treads. I didn`t bother to look the night I purchased it, but now I have light colored, dry rotting, bald tires!!! When I called to complain they denied it and gave me a hard time! Disgraceful. The sad thing is, the workers have to be in on these dealings with the owner. I`m sure some are family, but the others must have to sell a little of their soul every day they go in there and handle their business the way they do. Shame on them. This company doesn`t deserve your business. There are Thousands of other cars out there and truly nice, honest people willing to make you a good deal on them. Oh, and check BBB.org, saw that in a review after the fact also. Oh well, never again. You were warned.

A WARNING!!! No Integrity! Buyer Beware. I wish I checked the Better Business Bureau before I came here. They get an F from the BBB!!! Multiple complaints within the last 12 months, well add one more. I went to Guru Auto World in Easton, PA in December of 2011. At this time they were running a holiday deal of ?ˆ?Buy a car and receive a free HD TV or 1 yr. membership to AAA?ˆ?. Well, I bought a car and they Refused t... view moreo give me my TV when it was all said and done because, as they claimed, ?ˆ?I got a good deal?ˆ?. ALSO! They will sneak in a charge for a preparation fee of $495.00 that is not disclosed at any time before your signing! This is a dealer Optional fee. Meaning, it?ˆ™s not illegal, but it?ˆ™s shifty depending on how the dealer handles it and how much they charge. Guru/Amy tried to get me to sign my initial contract without this as a line item. I did some math and asked where the extra $500 is coming from. Only then, did she pull out a paper with this fee as a line item. She, nor did anyone else mention this price gouging fee at any time before I would have already signed a commitment = Shady. Most dealers I have dealt with in the past charged a basic fee of $55 (this is not the notary fee, that is separate). But, $495.00!!! That is pure Greed. Then, they didn?ˆ™t even make good on their TV offer. That is what you?ˆ™re dealing with if you go to Guru Auto in Easton, PA. But wait! There?ˆ™s more?ˆ¦Let me start with the fact that before I knew about the extra $500 and that they wouldn?ˆ™t make good on the TV offer, I thought I got a good deal. Of course, they refused to negotiate until they ran my credit report. It was typical used car salesman tactics; intrusively prod for personal info so they can figure out how much you want the car. I?ˆ™m blessed to have a good credit rating, so suddenly it was on. We agreed on the price for a nice car with some issues (hey, it?ˆ™s used; I was willing to live with them). Keep in mind I agreed on this price before the undisclosed $500 and TV fiasco. I said it was a deal if they cleared the minor warning lights, proved to me the oil had been changed (which took forever and they just created a document that night saying it was done 2 months earlier), and filled the tank with gas. I left their mandatory $500 deposit to hold the car and had my wife drive me down the next day to pick up the car. I test drove it again and low and behold there was another 100 miles on the odometer! Plus, the tank was only half way filled with gas! Lies and inconsideration. Well, they had my $500 deposit and gave me attitude when I expressed my displeasure with this. At this point, my wife and kids were waiting and we wanted the car. Then, the $500 gouge fee and refusal of the TV offer fiasco happened. After about a half hour of back and forth with snotty attitude from them, I was ready to walk, but was told I?ˆ™d lose my $500 (I would have just canceled the check). Well, my wife wanted the car and I just wanted Used car shopping to be over with. I had finally found a car and was done with it all. In the end, I signed and left with the car. I asked them whether they would be fine with me leaving unhappy without the TV, rather than happy with the TV and they (Amy) said ?ˆ?YES?ˆ?. That sums up everything you need to know about Guru Auto World in Easton, PA. You can receive a good initial deal on a car, but you will have to deal with calloused integrity, lies, and worship of the Almighty Dollar. I will not go back and I do not recommend them. Next step, fill out a Better Business Bureau form and contact Consumer Watchdogs/Advocates with the local media.
