Don`t settle for poor, unprofessional service!!!
We inquired about a used car at this dealer through USAA car buying service 12/21/11. swapped 6 or more emails re: specs, pricing, USAA discount and agreed on a price for the car. 12/23 said we would be were very interested in purchasing and would be in to test drive on Monday 12/26. Monday am, left a voicemail for Cat Rivera saying we would be in around noon/1:00 to look at the car. She never called back.
Ca... view morelled again and spoke to Nick who CONFIRMED THAT THE CAR WAS STILL AVAILABLE before we drove 2.5 hours from CT to Great Neck, NY in Queens...told him we`d be there at 1:00 Arrived on time, no one we had spoken to including the sales mgr was there to assist us, so we presented our USAA pricing certificate to John (i think) on the sales floor and he showed us the car and readied it for our test drive.
We drove it, loved it, agreed to buy it; down payment ready & had financing approval. as he starts to write up the sales agreement he excuses himself for a moment, comes back and say`s ""SORRY, THE CAR HAS A DEPOSIT ON IT -- IT WAS SOLD ON SATURDAY""
Obviously a lie! THEY JUST DID NOT WANT TO LET THE CAR GO FOR THE PRICE WE NEGOTIATED!!!
4 days later (6 days after it ""sold""), the car is still listed on their website AND WE HAVE NOT RECIEVED AN APOLOGY BY PHONE OR EMAIL FROM ANY OF THE 4 PEOPLE WE HAD CONTACT WITH!
An entire day off, 1/2 a take of gas, 18 bucks in tolls, and 5 hrs driving wasted!
There are some great, customer-freindly dealers out there...dont settle for the poor, unprofessional service at Jaguar of Great Neck!!!
