Reviews:
Best place to buy a car!
I have to say that the salesman I dealt with was a great guy and treated me respectfully. I went in to look at the VW Passat and Came out with a used awd Milan. The car is perfect. The VW was nice, but smaller than I thought it would be. I have 41,000 on my car and it drives like new. I was also impressed when my salesman took me down the hall he called the ""history walk"". He told me they`ve been in business ... view morefor 90 years. Then he brought me out back and introduced me to the service manager he was a blast to talk to. I bought my car almost 5 months ago and I`ve been back for 2 oil changes. The service department is great. Even the owner`s are nice and I`ve met both of them. If you are looking for a car used or new I wouldn`t hesitate to stop in at State Motors. I hope this review is helpful. If I had known about them before I looked at 10 different cars I would have stopped there 1st and saved my time the hassle and bad business from other dealerships.

service on used cars sold there
I was in a terrible accident and needed a new car ASAP. I had a Mitshubishi Diamante and loved it, so I looked for another. I wanted something used but newer than my 1997. I went to state Motors after looking locally and found the car I wanted. I wanted another Diamante because of how safe I felt in my last one. The sales person( N.J.) told me everyting I wanted to hear. I believed I was getting a car that was... view more in good condition and checked over by the auto dealter ship. I was told it would go thru N.H. inspection, that I could use the temporary N.H. plates to get it to MA, that it would be 100% when I picked it up.
What a laugh! When I got the car I noticed that the back seat was dirty, not a big deal , stil want the car. As I am driving home to MA I notice that I have just enough gas to get home, stil not a big deal, gas is expensive so they got cheap on me there. Then I go to wash some insects off the windshield and there is no washer fluid. This bugged me becasue it is a SAFETY issue, and how cheap can they be. Well they can be really cheap because that was the start to my discovery of my ne used car from State Motors.
I realize I have gone on for ever and that the point needs to be brought home. I passed ma inspections but one of my fog lights is broken; minimum $25.00. IMy husband checked the filters and oil to see if they really did do anything . The oil stick was sealed tight, it broke getting it out. We had to bring it to my mechanic. I was afraid I had no oil and would not risk another 1/2 hour drive to state motors. There I found out that the original oil filter was on the car, it had 47,777 miles on when I bought it. Also, it looks like filters were never changed and the big daddy is :MY BACK BRAKES ARE GONE!!! I have called to let them know about the oil initially and they started to argue with me.
They are truely ""car salesmen"" at State Motors of Manchester NH
