I originally sought out Amoskeag European Auto after having had multiple negative experiences at Holloway Mercedes - nothing wrong as far as technical expertise, but they are very expensive even by Mercedes dealer standards. I was looking for a better balance between expertise and cost, and I found what I wanted at Amoskeag. As with any business relationship, you should be an educated consumer - ask questions and take the time to shop around. I`ve done so and am happy to say that Amoskeag provides good value for service for this Mercedes owner.

Excellent service and quality of work

I have owned Mercedes and other German card since 1978, and Pat McCarthy has done the work on all of my cars not under warranty since 1985. He was the head mechanic at the local Mercedes dealership before going out on his own. Brian is a fantastic mechanic. After I moved out of the area I have continued to drive 1 hour to have them do the work on my car because I trust them, and they have been accomodating of my n... view moreeeds for a loaner. They know who can do the services they don`t do (like repair a rare part on a 1967 300SE Cabriolet). I appreciate the services they have done and continue to do for me

Caution

I recently had routine maintenance completed on a vehicle of mine by Amoskeag. While the owner and the staff was very accommodating and friendly, the mechanic`s skill is lackluster. The mechanic who serviced my vehicle cracked the secondary air intake pipe, a $200+ replacement. When I asked why there was a ticking noise that was not present prior to having my vehicle serviced by Amoskeag, I was told, ""There i... view mores a slight exhaust leak at the manifold."" Not accurate. In addition, above statement was said to cover fact that mechanic cracked the secondary air intake pipe during requested maintenance. If you are inclined to bring your vehicle to them for service, make sure you are able to stay to monitor the mechanics work. I, personally, will not be bringing my vehicle back to Amoskeag for service.

Well worth the trip!

Just wanted to say thank you to Brian and Pat(owner), for providing excellent service on my 1998 Audi a6 and 2003 Audi A6! Employees are very friendly and knowledgeable! Would recommend Amoskeag to anyone with an European car!

fraudulent misstatements leaving me with no car.

Recently purchased a `like new condition Audi` from Amoskeag Auto Sales. First of all was the old bait and switch tactic, telling me vehicle at a price we already negotiated upon would have to go up around 500+ dollars due to a more lucrative offer. This is on the while I am driving the 3+hours trip to come get the car, sent via a text message non the less. Secondly, finally arrive at the shop. Looks fairly legitim... view moreate. The car comes out and I inspected the car quickly because he happened to be in a rush. Took the car on the highway for less than 3 minutes, not even time to actually hear what was wrong until after I took the car home. He began by saying it had many new parts, but had no receipts to prove it, yet was a mechanic so any reasonable person would assume these statements would not be misleading in nature. Thirdly, after I asked about a few blemishes on the car he said nothing and said he could get them for me for no extra cost as he never disclosed this information when I asked what the cars condition is in, only he said EXCELLENT. The check engine light was on "" due to the secondary air system, we tested it, thats all you need and you``ll be good to go"". Also proceeded to show me the engine fault codes on a ""cheap reader"" than couldn`t explain what exactly was wrong, just a fault code. And the assured me that due to the air-pump, it set off multiple codes, which I found out later that it was a fraudulent statement due to the fact he as a technician could have told me the other codes had nothing to do with that particular part. Leading to about 2500+ fees to put back on the road and get inspected. Also had 2 flat tires in less than two weeks because they were so worn down. Also no jack could be found in the car. Currently handling withBBB in this matter as it is blatant misstatement to a reasonable person, including knowingly selling a faulty car that does not pass any safety or emission standards. Please BUYER BE WARE IF LOOKING TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. You would think an AUDI technician would now more than anyone what the actually needed and what he actually told me varied a great great deal.

Never again

I wouldn`t bother with this place, can`t get at mechanic to talk to you have your had service on your car. Much better service around then here.

Service is by far the best in NH

I have a mereceds (96). I called several places includeing the Mercedes Dealership. No time to see me. I called Amoskeag European Auto Specialist. I explained I was new to the area and was having a problem with my car. They said no problem, when would you like to bring it in? I said I have a problem, I need the car to get to work. . I bring the car in the next day. They gave me a loaner vehicle , they did ... view morenot charge me for the loaner, they called me at work with an estimate for the job, I said OK go ahead and do it. My bill was 10% less the quote because I was a first time customer. There Moto is "" We want our customers to walk out the door happier than they walked in"" It worked for me. Dan Perkins
