UNPROFESSIONAL AND HORRIBLE SERVICE. So I was told that it would be 35 minutes for the driver to arrive but it was at least an hour and 45 minutes. The prices were told to me by the dispatcher and she said $60 hook-up fee, 5 free miles, and $5 a mile after. It was the cheapest out of the 3 companies I called and I was in a hurry so I said to send a driver. I broke down on Highway 50 more than halfway up the hill ... view moregoing from Carson City to South Lake Tahoe So I figured it was 18 miles to my house and with the 5 free miles I would only pay for 13 miles. Well about halfway to my destination I was informed that I was being charged for the mileage it took the driver to get to me from where the driver was when he started my way. That was another 16 miles tacked on (80 extra dollars). The dispatcher did not bother to let me know. My father owns a tow company and they have never charged for the miles it takes to get to the customer and he said that was unheard of. Also, the driver informs me of the 5% fuel surcharge he had to throw on the bill to make it almost an even $200.00. Even though I live in a mountain town and everything seems to be more pricey, this is just downright outrageous for the 18 miles that I was towed. DO NOT USE VALLEY TOWING. RIPOFF!!!!
