I was referred to Jeff and Lee...
I was referred to Jeff and Lee (the owners of Brakes Plus) by a good friend. Their service was exceptional! I took my car in for a diagnostic and not only did they give me the run down of any necessary repairs, but they didn`t BS me and told me what needed to be fixed right away, how much it would cost and what could wait. The shop itself is very clean and comfortable for customers who are waiting. Great lounge area,... view more free coffee, etc. The diagnostic normally costs 87.50 and they charged me 100.00 for the diagnostic as well as a new battery, which I needed. Also, I knew prior to taking my car into Brakes Plus that I would likely need my timing belt to be changed, so I did a little research and most shops quoted me at 700 to over 1000 dollars. Brakes Plus quoted me @ $450 and told me to start saving as this was something that should be repaired as soon as possible. They are kind, professional and to the point. I couldn`t have been happier and regardless of where you live...they are certainly worth the drive! I will definitely be using them in the future for all of my auto woes! Thank you Jeff and Lee! =)

Brakes Plus Las Vegas Horrible Cust Serv
Last May I took my car to a repair shop for minor problems and immediately after getting it back it had problems. When I put the car into gear it made a loud thud sound like the whole engine or something was falling from the vehicle. We had been trying to find just one mechanic shop that we could trust to take our vehicle to on a regular basis and decided to try brakes plus in Las Vegas. After they checked the vehicl... view moree they determined that it was something with the axles causing this shifting problem and also decided we needed some brake repairs all of which would cost us $2000.00. We told him to go ahead with the repairs. When we got it back the shifting problem was fixed although the car didn`t sound as great as we wanted it to we decided he fixed the problem and left it at that. Well yesterday after taking it back to them after having a failed smog check for a couple of censors we were quoted $917.00 and decided we just couldn`t afford so we told him we couldn`t do it. We went to pick up the vehicle and paid the $87 diagnostic fee and guess what. We get in the car and it has the original problem we paid $2000 to fix back in just May. And now they REFUSE to help us! My husband and I were laidoff from our jobs, are collecting unemployment, and this is the only vehicle we have to get our children to and from school, as well as taking ourselves to look for work. As a mechanic you`d think the mechanic would want to give great customer service to someone who brought their car to you and left with a problem that they didn`t have when they dropped it off to you. We thought we could trust them and planned to use them as our mechanic but they proved to us once again how hard it is to find a good trustworthy mechanic, Does anyone know any??
