These guys are some of the best car care you can get in between Vegas and the Arizona border. I`ve been living in Boulder City and have brought my car to them a few times. I know a bit about cars, but there`s a lot I just don`t have the tools to do. They`re good-humored mechanics and they do top-notch work. I do know enough about cars to know when I`m being taken for a run with my money; I`m a woman, and I`ve bro... view moreught my car to mechanics before who charge me way too much thinking I won`t catch on, or I have no choice but to swallow the price tag. Not such with KC`s Auto. They`re very good, honest, reliable mechanics (I know, kind of a misnomer, but it`s true) - when I`ve brought my car in, they`ve given me really good price estimates for things, and if you shop around Boulder City at all you`ll see they`re much lower in prices than other places (like another place in Boulder City who charged me $95 to tell me they couldn`t fix it). In contrast, KC`s Auto gave me a list of things I could get fixed and said they wouldn`t charge me for looking if I brought my car back to them to get the work done. It took a month or so, but I did get back to them; since then, any other shop could`ve charged me at least $1200 for "necessary repairs", but KC`s Auto has given estimates closer to $800, and been honest about what I`ve actually *needed* done, and when I should get it done (e.g. "You should get this replaced within the next 15,000 miles"). All things said and done, I`ve spent about $200 there; if I wasn`t moving, I`d give them a lot more of my business, and I hope I can find mechanics half as good as they are when I do move. When something has come up that I haven`t understood, they`ve been willing to explain it to me without being condescending; I`m sure if you don`t have much experience with cars, they`d have a moment to tell you what`s going on, and why, instead of giving you a price tag. Really, I can`t recommend these guys enough. If you need to get a car looked at and you`re in the area, they`re where you should go.
