I Went to Aamco in Vauxhall NJ and thought I needed a whole transmission. They checked it for free and it turned out to be an electronic problem called a solenoid. Honest and friendly staff. Highly recomended.

I came in here because my issue was either the neutral safety switch or solenoid...I advised them this when they took my car on Thursday. After 3 days I was just told they were still "diagnosing". On Saturday they told me they "think" it was the neutral safety switch and I would have my car later that afternoon. I called at 1pm only to find out that they all went h... view moreome for the day and that the wrong part came in. More "diagnosing" because now they dont think its the neutral safety switch! Today Tuesday (5 days later) I am now told they "think" its the solenoid switch and say the price is $1056.12!!! I told them they lost their minds. Bottom line they couldnt figure out the problem, gave me a quoted price that was so high they knew i would not accept it..this covers themselves for the $100 "diagnosing" fee which is waived if you have them perform work on the car. Its funny because a lady was there picking her car up and they told her they couldnt find anything wrong with her car! This place is a SCAM!!! This place is so bootleg I wouldnt even recommend it to my worst enemy. How they are in business is beyond me.
