I would never go to this place again. They sent me out of their garage with a brake unbolted from the frame. I took the wheel off because it was making noise, and the caliper was dangling from the brake line. When I called them to ask about it they said they "never even looked at that brake" even though I was there for a state inspection and they had all 4 wheels off to put new tires on. Went here for the PA state ins...

Went here for the PA state inspection after getting a ridiculous quote from Pep Boys, who said I needed things fixed that obviously were unnecessary and at an inflated price. O`Brien`s took my car on short notice, did the work quickly, and their price was one-third of what Pep Boys quoted me. I`ll definitely use them again in the future.

Great Service and Friendly Atmosphere

Fran Obrien has been my car mechanic for several years. I have had very good experiences with him and his employees. Their recommendations for car maintenance are always very informative, and Fran keeps up with all certifications and training programs to provide excellent service. I appreciate his honesty and am a loyal customer.

Great service and price

I was planning a trip to Boston Ma, I knew I needed new tires for my new car, I searched everywhere in the city for a few weeks, and the prices were outrageous. It was the day before I left for my trip when I met Fran. Not only did he find the tires, he fit me in to have my tires put on my car in time for me to leave that night.Now I will go out of my way to take my car to him for Everything. I would watch your back!

I used to take my car to O`Briens three years ago when I lived in Philly. I recently moved back to the city but had decided to take my car to a repair shop closer to my new home. The new repair shop gave me a diagnosis of the problem and a quote and I immediatley gave my old buddy Fran a call to see how much HE would charge me to repair the car. He gave me a quote of over $100.00 less then the other repair shop so... view more of course I agreed to bring my car completley out of the way to O`Briens instead, after all I trusted them. Well I dropped it off in the morning and about an hour later I got a call from one of Fran`s ""guys"" with a price that was double my original quote. I told him that Fran told me it was going to be much less and he said he would call Fran and get back to me. Well he gave me a call back and said that Fran made a mistake and that doubled price was what it was going to cost. I called back the other repair shop and asked them to make sure that their quote was accurate since it was $300 less then this nwe quote from O`Briens. They kept good on their word and told me that the price would be the same that they quoted me. I called O`Briens and told them that if they couldn`t match that price that I would need to pick up my car from them. Well I went there to pick up my car and one of Fran`s ""guys"" told me that they gave me a discount but that my diagnosis was going to cost $40.00. I was appalled...I didn`t need a diagnosis because I already had one all I needed was to have the car repaired and for Fran to honor the original quoted price he gave me. They were charging me $40 to call a parts warehouse to get a price on the parts I neede for the repair! After arguing with the ""guy"" for over 45 minutes, and watching him call Fran over and over again with no answer, and 10 minutes of which the ""guy"" dissapeared and left me standing there while he did god knows what to my car, one of the other guys in the shop told this ""guy"" to give me my keys and let me go. For someone that had reffered ALOT of business to this shop and was a HUGE fan of O`Briens, I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me and I will NEVER take my car there ever again. Besides Fran, his staff are unprofessional and very unpleasant to deal with. I would make sure you get an accurate quote IN WRITING, before you agree to let them fix your car or you could have a bigger problem then I did!!!
