John and his staff are the best. Straight explanations in plain English, quick service and always done on time. We take both of our Priuses to Shade Tree Garage for all service and periodic maintenance. And the (relatively) new location is much more convenient. Highly recommended.

Shade Tree Garage is fabulous!

I think Shade Tree Garage is fabulous. They are honest and don`t give people the run-around. I took my parent`s Subaru to them when they were up here visiting and their brake light came on. We thought it was going to be a major repair. Shade Tree looked at the car, found that it was a minor repair issue and corrected it very quickly. I would use them for all my car repairs and highly recommend them to anyone who want... view mores to have their car repaired or maintained by experts.

Get a second opinion

Had a bad experience with these guys. Brought in a car for fuel pump replacement. After the repair (with a $300 diagnosis) they informed me that my gas tank was ""dangerously"" leaking and had to be replaced for $1,600. Seemed like a lot. With the parts $400, this meant 12 hours of labor? Given the combination of ""it could explode"" pressure tactics and the high price, I decided to double check. I called around ... view moreand found the BMW dealer would do it with OEM parts for 1/2 the price, and other mechanics were even less. They got a little flustered when I told them I was taking the car back and tried to scare me by demanding I sign a waiver. No wonder. The jig was up. Got the tank replaced for $800. Will not repeat. Either they are incompetently slow, or they aren`t honest. Turned out the ""leak"" was a very slow seeping - not even a drip. Yeah it had to be replaced, but not at the price or urgency they insisted upon. If you need to go to these monkeys, make sure you get a second opinion.""
