I took my daughter`s car to be repaired. It cost me $900 for Marty to put in a bad water pump, he then wanted me to pay the $400 labor to replace it with a new one even though it was under warranty. He told me that it was not his problem. He also wanted to back charge me the tax that I didn`t pay the first time since I paid cash, and he found several other things that he was then going to fix, for a price. When I told him that I didn`t want him to touch my car again, he demanded payment for the labor of looking at it. I shoved $200 in his hand and had my car towed to a VW dealer in Ramsey. The worst thing about the experience was his total lack of professionalism, I felt victimized and like he was extorting money from me. He figured that once he had the parts out, i would have no choice but to pay him to fix it. It will cost me more up front to have it refixed, but i will save money in the long run because god knows what he would have done to this car. So take your car to a legitimate dealer who will stand by their work, someone who believes that quality workmanship and customer service IS his problem.
